    Current State of Nurfed2

    Nurfed2(N2) State: Great

Many of you have asked me When will Nurfed2 be released?.

A lot of people believe that since I took over Nurfed, it has gone to shit.

I cannot agree more, and this is why N2 was started.

The NurfedUI was solely kept by Tivoli for many years, and while he did an amazing job, his code, was, well, not easy to work with. It has very little documentation (or none at all in a lot of cases), and was very ackward to deal with. The bulk part of the problems came with the release of Wrath. With wrath came vehicles, dual specs, etc. The initial design layout of NurfedUI was not done in a way with these things in mind, and as such, crappy 'quickfixes' came into effect. The users wanted something that worked, so I gave it to them, and this was done by basically throwing new code ontop of the old code and praying it worked.

With N2 However, it was designed from the ground up with DualSpecs, Vehicles, etc in mind, and is working flawlessly. As many of you know, I was planning on releasing it this weekend (Blizzcon Friday). However, due to me not being able to remote into my desktop back home, I was unable to do so. Now after thinking about it, I realize that I should not release it just yet. No it is not far off, by anyway, shape, or form.

I have a great group of testers that are stress testing the shit out of N2, and are giving me a lot of great feedback. The majority of it is: "WOW".

Nurfed2 is currently using under 125kb with 5kb of garbage.
Nurfed2_SpellAlert is currently under 15kb, with 0kb of garbage.
Nurfed2_Chat is currently 5kb, with 0kb of garbage.
Nurfed2_ActionBars is currently ~65kb, with 12kb of garbage.
Nurfed2_UnitFrames = Havent been started yet.

All together, however, giving the unit frames 200kb(which it wont happen imo), N2 will be using under 500kb, compared to the 800+ the current Nurfed uses.

What this means in lamen terms:
The less ui memory a mod uses, the faster it loads, and ~typically~ the better it runs.

N2 has a LOT of the core problems with positioning, corrupt settings, and what not 100% complete. I have yet, since starting on this project, logged in one day and had my settings corrupt.

    THIS IS A GOOD THING.

    N2 Status:
    Core: Complete
    Action Bars: Complete
    Chat: Complete
    SpellAlert: Complete
    UnitFrames: Started

Please feel free to ask any PRODUCTIVE questions about N2 and how it works or anything else regarding it, besides a definite date, in this thread. I will be updating OP with updates as it continues to progress.
