Allakhazam's Displayed Drop Rates

I had a question about the displayed drop rates for raid bosses on allakhazam.


On the Ragnaros displayed loot drop table, it has Bonereaver's Edge marked as 5.11% drop rate. I know Ragnaros has a 100% chance to drop two pairs of legs, then there's a random for his other two items. Does this drop rate, 5.11% for Bonereavers, mean that I will have a 1/20 chance to get one? Or does it just seem smaller because of the two pairs of leggings that are included automatically in the loot table?

I'm asking this because the same drop rate goes for Dark Edge of Insanity, Ashkandi and Death's Sting on other raid bosses. I'm wondering, will I actually have to wait 1/20, 5 months, to get one of these weapons?

I did pick up the head of nefarian, I got the master dragon slayer's ring because the mark of c'thun is a better necklace.

And yes, I did have a third felstriker that I used to throw.

Okay well would it be considered gambler's fallacy to consider this:

Husk of the Old God: 100%
Carapace of the Old God: 100%
Eye of C'thun: 100%

Then everything else is 2/13 since there are 2 spots for extra random loot, so two chances at any of the 13 items?

I guess my estimation would be a little off because I dont think each of the 13 extra items have an equal chance to drop, but allakhazam is off because each of the three items I listed do not have a 100% chance to drop but they are 100% off c'thun...

Someone dumb this down for me.

What does it matter?

If it is 1/20 and drops in the first of 20 runs, you'll wait 1 week.
If it is 1/5 and drops on the fifth, you'll wait 5 weeks.

I'd suggest reading this (http://forums.elitistjerks.com/viewtopic.php?id=6795) thread regarding loot tables and drop-rates.

Basically every boss has multiple loot tables they look through for loot. No two items from the same table can drop on the same kill. Rag for example has 2 main loot tables, and a third with Bonereaver's, Spinal Reaper, Shard of the Flame, and EoS. Rag's two tables are as follows:

Group A
Perdition's Blade
Essence of the Pure Flame
Crown of Destruction
Choker of the Firelord
Band of Sulfuras

Group B
Cloak of the Shrouded Mists
Malistar's Defender
Dragon's Blood Cape
Onslaught Girdle
Band of Accuria

Every kill you'll get two legs, and one loot from each A and B table. Additionally there is a much smaller chance for an item to drop as a 5th loot off Rag, which would come from the 3rd table. Some bosses have "common" items as well as "rare" items on their two tables, which have differing drop rates. Something like Nef with his 4 weapon drops (two on each table), or Fankriss with Barb and AQR work that way.

The thread I linked has more information, as well as most bosses loot tables written out.
