You'll be needing other healers in your group if your doing higher end instances.

Ok

My plan was to use this until about 45-50 and respec to a more group helpful build

thanks for the feedback

PS: Could I pull off Zul Farrak with this build?

If you plan to respec at lvl 45-50, then better use only 36-41 talent points in your build since you'll not get more before respec.
As i understand, you're taking shadow first then healing?

My current build is in a profile below, even more Shadow talents than in your one, lvl 56 (now i'm in a grinding equipment).

You don't need Imp SW:P 2 against one mob when you'll get some shadow talents, mob will die before that. So, it's not absolutely nessesary, and Darkness is better IMHO because it adds to DPS.

Vampiric Embrace? Maybe it's good for someone, but IMHO it's better to cast damage spells during a fight instead and maybe eat some cheap food (not the best one) from time to time or use bandages, with Spirit Tap and good Spi you'll regenerate enough HPs most of the time anyway. Or just drop Shadowform and heal.

Shadow Focus 5 is relatively good if you want to fight +3 mobs... But who wants to fight +3 mobs? It's not efficient anyway. +2 mobs never resist with this talent it seems though. Probably, it works as like you have a +10 to Shadow magic skill in a roll if your spell will be resisted, contrary to a description. Or at least it seems so for me.

--

After Shadow, take Holy IMHO. Improved PW:S is good... To save someone in a really bad situations... But you're not a holy/disc, so if there will be a situation where this talent will be helpful, you probably will be OOM long before the end of a fight. So, IMHO forget about it in your build.

Now, instances. I was in 3 SFK runs, 5 BFD runs, 2 SM runs (Library and Library/Armory/Library), 1 Uldaman, 1 Zul'Farrak, 3 Atal'Hakkar.

Uldaman was easy... but only when everyone did everything right. Pickup group. Warrior, Rogue, 2 Shamans and a Priest. 3 wipes, several lone deaths :) A lot of times we did something wrong :) A good plan and a last battle was easy, when golems were activated all healers had like 90% mana.

Zul'Farrak - pickup group, Priest, Warlock, Rogue, Shaman and Warrior. All minor mobs were easy, in the last prolonged battle i drinked. Fine if you'll be able to drink in the last battle and there is a secondary healer.

1st run in Atal'Hakkar - Priest + Darkenbane clan (Everquest, so they're experienced in PvE) Warrior, Warlock, 2 Shamans. I changed all keybindings (as i wanted long before), so for me this run was a nightmare. Add to that that you should dispel and shackle in this instance, and i changed even movement keys from WASD to ESDF... They said me to heal only a tank and shackle/dispel, and shamans will heal others to save mana - that helped a lot, for the first time it was hard to constantly keep track of debuffs with WoW UI (well, actually i use Cosmos, but it doesn't help a lot) and keep track of recieved DPS of all party members at the same time, in addition to other things like a battle situation, mobs that aggro on me etc. With only a tank and debuffs, it was a lot easier.
Boss fights were relatively easy with 4 experienced players from one clan with a good equipment for their lvl (they make a lot of instance runs) and 3 healers in a group.

2nd run in Atal'Hakkar - pickup group. Warrior, Rogue, Shaman, Mage, Priest. I got an advice from one friend that played in beta to move player bars closer to each other, and i already knew my new bindings, so it was a lot easier for me to play. We killed a first boss that uses a conversion spell (like SFK boss). After that, we tried the last one (the one that is alone, Shade of Hakkar i think), but i was at 0 mana with a mana potion already used when boss had ~77% health. So, no chances even with a holy/disc build in that group.

3rd run in Atal'Hakkar - Shaman, Warlock, Warrior, Rogue, Priest. It was a Darkenbane group again, but a Warrior was from Revenant. It was fine with the exception of a last fight with the same lone last boss, where both healers were OOM and warrior had like 1-2% health.

BTW, it seems that a pet really helps in a last battle in Atal'Hakkar - boss frequently casts a stasis on a pet instead of a tank.

So, overall, don't even try without a secondary healer - you'll lose in a boss fights with a Shadow build.
I used mana potions in almost all boss fights, my equipment isn't that good (i wasn't a frequent guest in an instances), but i brought a lot on auction.

thanks for all the feedback guys, I did SFK with my shadow talents today and it was pretty simple as it was the day before too
I decided I am going to be able to group a lot so i figured I might as well switch over to holy
atm I am only lvl 23 so my talents look like this:

Holy

5/5 Improved Renew

5/5 Holy Specialization

4/5 Inspiration

I plan on maxing inspiration and avoiding subtlety as I figure it isnt necessary with tools such as fade and that I can shield myself if I pull aggro while waiting for someone to tank them off me.
I am also avoiding holy nova because I wont be trying to deal AOE dmg in an instance group of course =D
I think I will have 30 in holy and 21 in discipline
with the 21st point in disc ill get inner focus

---Any feedback on the ideas posted above is absolutely welcome!
