my lock picking skills are at 138 where is best place to get it higher?

You can practice on the locks you used for your lock picking/poison quests (one in the boat in booty bay area and the one in the tower near sludge fen). I practiced up to 175 skill there, but you might be able to go higher.

well the boxes in that one room are grey and i cant open the bottom one cause im done quest.. and i cant open the one in tower cause that quest is done also

What lvl are you? Try going into the Scarlet Monestary (or other similar instance with humanoids) and pickpocket everyone in there by yourself if you're a high enough level to survive a fight or two if you get your pickpocket resisted. You'll get iron lockboxes off a fair number of mobs that should be green at that level I think. I know this may not be the best solution, but I'm unaware of a better strategy at this point in time. If anyone knows of a better way I'd like to hear it as well.

You can open the one for the quest after doing it, you just need to use the lockpicking skill before you can target it now.

Once you have the highlighted cursor, you will be able to target the box and pick it. I just went back this weekend to get my lockpicking up to 175, then I got another 25 points off of the Scarlet Monestary doors (you have to wait a while, or something to be able to get another skill point from these; I just picked them each time I came out of the isntance, and sometimes I would be able to get a point off of each door, sometimes just off of one of them.)

You can get to 200 off resetting the backdoor instance in Gnomeregan.



Pick the backdoor, head in the instance, run down the ramp.. On your left is a door, pick it, reset the instance, rinse repeat.


I think it's still green @ 200, not sure.


I know the box on the ship stops @ 175.

by resetting an instance you just go out of it right

i'm always under the impression that you can type some command or press a button to reset ;/
