Server Transfers.

Well recently Hyjal, Lightbringer, Shadowsong, and Zul'jin are getting an option to transfer to a new server on new hardware. The idea of new hardware alone is a too tempting, Hyjal was plagued in the beginning. The thing is Hyjal is PvE, and The Black Dragonflight is PvP. Foh will be leaving, and I hear so will Trancendence, the horde would be strong.

My question is, what is PvP life like? Herb gathering, world spawns, etc? A lot of us assume this and that, but honestly we're guessing.

theres alot action going on in blackrock mountain for sure, herb gathering is ok though. arcanite in epl CAN be quite a problem, but mostly isnt.
the main open pvp areas are imo blackrock mountain, in front of zul gurub, cenarion hold

There's PVP in this game? Pretty sure everyone sits at the mail box in Ironforge/Orgrimmar and just do Battlegrounds. Grats on awful as fuck game.

Is the world pvp lame on your pvp server? Im thinking it wouldnt be hard to get something started. Im just curious if its more of hassle than pleasure. If I always had a buddy, would I be gewd?

Dethecus, is really more like...well, yes the PVP kind of bites here. BRM isn't what it used to be, Cenarion Hold is the new BRM. The gates on AQ are like 'lets see who can get their 40 man raid to sit out here the longest'. You can actually fly to Thorium Point as a Horde member now, during normal hours! Its insanely boring.

On Archimonde I never flew out to Light's Hope Chapel from Undercity, because I'd be guaranteed to die upon landing. We transferred to Dethecus and its like Light's Hope Chapel is empty. Silithus has a few roamers, but its usually a pair of pretty bad players that'll get the one extremely bad player that happens to be solo farming Cenarion Rep. Lately Not Recruiting has been making rounds.

Pretty sure it's like that on every server Deianna. It's not the server, it's the game. A bunch of PvE guilds moving to a PvP server is going to spark some life into it because it'll be brand new to them.

I forsee two things happening.

1. ) A bunch of PvE guilds PvP for a few months until they realize all the things we have. e.g. this game is bad.

2. ) A bunch of PvE guilds go to PvP but since it's a PvP server and a bunch of PvP guilds are already there, they will be sitting on one sided queues and running around empty zones.

Or, they realize that the endgame on PvP and PvE servers is basically the same, so it doesn't really matter if they transfer to PvP vs PvE.

Leveling on a brand new server with no transfers to it is amazingly fun.. but they always bring in the transfers and about a thousand level 60s.
