QFT. More seriously, what kind of question is this? If you ask, you probably dont have any of them. So it's a little like you have a Yugo and ask: "hey guys, should I get myself Ferrari or Lamborghini?". Get whatever you can put your hands on, you cant go wrong with those 2.
...and the reason I'd say R14 sword is better is the same as given by Sokkeh :)

I don't plan on getting rank 14, and I'm just waiting for an ashkandi to drop atm. The reason I asked was I was just curious for ranking purposes. Like: Darkedge>r14 axe>r14 sword>ashkandi, or r14 axe>ashkandi>r14 sword

On the alliance side, the axe has the sick gayest look :S so i'd say that polearm is better. Screw imp hamstring anyway >_<
Imo thought the r14 sword is better than askhandi, cause it's damage range is higher, it has +9stamina and +1critacal strike. Sure ashkandi has attack power but that doesnt clearly reach the dmg range of r14.

Horde side, r14 axe> r14 sword>ashkandi.
Alliance side, r14 pole> r14 sword>ashkandi.

pvp wise though, sword works better than axe. 1shot ftw!

Thats simply a play style preference. I use to be gunho about SS before it got that nerf a couple of patches ago. Now, I rather be able to count on my damage always being there instead of having to reily on SS.

And why you would use a pole over an axe because the pole looks cooler is beyond me. Improved hamstring is worth not looking as sexy :wink:

hehe okay i overstated it a bit. Its just that pole/sword for the allies look so much better. Axe is ok, decent, but at that point of the game you need to enjoy your outfit a bit eh :)

(p.s. put the axe on sometimes it breaks the dullness, even if you don't swing it hehe)
