Warlocks in pvp..

Ok i was thinking what could stop a warlock's fear hit fear hit.. exept with a bit of will of forsaken and maby at lvl 60 enough life to tank a bit to will of forsaken again as they burned there mana.. i dunno but anything and everything alliance and not UD has lost to my friends warlock about 5 levels higher his lvl 37.

But i also beat a lvl 34 warlock at 28 with my war, with shield bash/dot/will of forsaken as he tried to fear and massive range me along with him his imp.

Deathwish, Reckless, and Berserker Rage all beat fear. Also, any fear after the third consecutive fear will only last 1-2 seconds.

ur gonna be dead on the third fear and all that is on warriors what about the other classes.. oh i know "*dead*.

No no other classes.. the only class that can pretty much win is warrior but others just keep getting feared and ranged specially if they use an imp. PLus without will of forsaken i bet there are warlocks that can beat any other warrior without will..

its simple, 1on1 the warlock is overpowered, im a lvl 58 warlock currently and played warlock throughout CB. I'm not saying they cant be beat, but overall yes they're overpowered 1on1 anyone who says otherwise is in denial... but the thing is blizzard has stated many timed that their pvp system is balanced for group / large scale pvp not 1on1, and in large scale pvp that 1 person i can fear doesn't have much impact on the overall outcome of the fight.

I have yet to lose to a warlock within 4 levels of me 1v1, even when ganked while on a mob. But i am a Dwarven Priest with a ward vs fear but even still i usually end up feared once or so against a skilled warlock.

Your dispel is also Valuable against a Warlock.

why would you use imp vs a warrior? Sucubi is the answer, unfortunately UD have an answer for that too! Will of Forsaken. Alliance warlock life solo is a story fo getting owned by UD. If you care about it make another class if not you can still do pretty good in grp pvp but imo it limits number of viable builds into purely survival type builds with huge amounts of HP and demonology talents. You can alwayse aoe bomb people in zergs too, but if you are going for that ice mage is probably a better choice.

Anyone whom doesn't use mouse 3 to face someone is stupid :D I have yet to lose a fight 1vs1 with someone that isn't over 5 levels above me. new fear changes might change things. The tricky part is when it's 2 or more vs me. In which I usually have about an 80% chance of surviving a 2v1 encounter.

Lol.. i am a UD warrior and i have not lost to any warlock with a lvl difference of 6-8 lvls... so no i am not whining, i am wondering how some other classes could survive them i guess now there is a chance in the new patch.

There is no face, I just use mouse 3 and whip it around and look at them :P The new patch is an annoyance but eh we all have to adapt and overcome.

Warlock casts fear, time to "face" cast spell, spell, spell, fear again. That's what I got from how warlocks play 1v1.

Anyway, I completely agree with Nisstyr. Because the warlock is not a mow them down by spamming X attack - type of class - you will see a lot of poorly played Warlocks. A well played one will beat pretty much any class, all the time in anything resembling a "fair fight".

I will say this though. A warlock's main strength is in preparation. If you catch one that isnt prepaired (bad PvP pet, no healhstone up, etc.) you will have a decent chance. But as for one that is all ready and looking for a fight? Better start running before he makes you run.

Your answer is that skill, preparation and experience play more of a factor than anything else.

Well if you can't beat a warlock as UD then you got a problem.. becuase the nurf on fear just downgraded them alot which is a good thing. Also this gives other classes without will of forsaken a better chance againts warlocks.. the class now which is hard to beat is a priest in a 1v1 situiation but it's still possible just hard without some high lvl talents/skills.
