constrained bandwidth >.<

So for the last three days my internet usage has gotten worse and worse almost inexplicably. If I go over 1500 MB per 6 days, then i get put in a constrained bandwidth that is so bad I can't use MSN, WoW, or anything like that. Usually, it's at 1000MB per last 6 days. However, I was at 1600MB today, but tomorrow the system is telling me that I will be at 1900 MB!! This means I won't be able to log on until 10:00pm EST.

The only thing I've done differently over the last 3 days is use ventrilo, my old guild used TS. Does vent eat up a lot of bandwidth? If so, are there any ways to cut down on the usage? Other internet-using programs I have on during my online times are MSN, irc, Wow, and sometimes internet explorer. Can anyone help me on combating this problem?

I'll be on at 10:00pm EST tomorrow. I'm locked out of MC this week anyways, hopefully I'll figure out what the heck is going wrong with resnet before then. Sorry folks, basically screwed for monday.

Another thing I did over the last few days was install nurfed ui and all of those mods. I really like the setup, but does that eat a load of bandwidth as well? One more thing I remembered doing was changing the sound codec input/output for vent. Sorry about this again, the higher you are over the max usage, the later you are allowed to log on; I'll be late for a few days as the usage goes down and I find out what the heck is wrong with the system.

The unofficial suggestion is to reroll Alliance easy mode and play less, and definitely view less pr0n. That is all >:D

But seriously, I work for Naz's school's residence internet department and also happen to be a WoW forum troll. I skimmed passed this and what a small world it is. He'll be capped at 1500 megs of usage every week and vent is a bandwidth whore. But he's a mage, all he needs to know is to not get agro and mash decursive, maybe a poly here and there. He should be fine without Vent.

HAHA yeah I went up to the front desk and started making questions about vent and bandwidth use. I got interrupted by them when they asked me about if I played WoW and was my name Naz!! The chances.. hehe.

Anyhoo update is the bandwidth is lowering quickly and I'll be able to log on before 8pm EST tuesday :D Though to be safe I'll only be on vent for the bosses methinks until it fully normalizes.
