What professions do you recommend? I play on a populated PvP server so I'll be PvP'ing quite lots once I hit 40 +.

I'm thinking since I can only wear cloth, going skinning and tailoring doesnt sound too bad. What do you guys think?

I forgot another thing, I'm going for Shadow with minor Discipline until I hit 40 and will change to more group friendly build.
But for now, how should I distribute my talen points? (order?)

From what your saying I make up you wanna solo a lot till say lvl 40.
Best to take Improved shield first, then Improved pain and mind flay.
I think Shield is one of the most valuabe spells, even more if your on a pvp server.
Tailoring and skinning are good professions to take as a priest. Skinning makes quite nice cache and tailoring is nice to make bags. Professions are a hard subject and is really just what suits you the best.

You don't need improved shield for grinding. Just put all points to Shadow to improve DPS and reduce downtime. It's all what you really need. Better DPS and less downtime = more kills per hour = more exp per hour. Also, you recieve less hits if you kill faster so you don't need things like improved shield etc. when you solo.

BTW on a PvP server it's more efficient just to level faster than others. Shield will not help you as much as levels :)

I do tailoring and enchanting both standalone skills for the most part, leveling as shadow you want to go all the way into the tree, get shadowform, silence, everything, no reason not too, as stated above it's all about faster kill rates and less downtime, especially on a PvP server, and there is nothing like hitting a mage or another caster with a silence if they get the jump on you ;).

I solo most of the time and group sometimes on quests, mostly instances. I got Improved PW:S 3/3 first and I have to say it has saved my butt more times than I can count. Living and not having to run halfway across a zone to body > killing one of the enemies in a bad pull then dieing. I'm purely a holy/disc priest and am loving it. Shadow is definately better for solo purposes but doing PW:S, MB, SW:P, Smite, etc works fine for me in solo. NOTE: I bring lots of drinks. :)

I personally favor Herbalism/Alchemy because the good potions will become more rare the longer you run into the game and the really useful potions on level 60 will be extremly hard to get a hold of, sometimes not even possible. And it just rocks being able to activate sprint potions, free action positions, elemental resistance potions, huge mana potions and alot more.

Mining/Engineering: Has its uses but the trinkets are not worth due to the risk involved in using them and the end-game engineering is terrible.

Tailoring/Skinning: Would be my second choice, it has its uses as everything else but I could just as well by the equipment easily in the AH or loot it when I'm doing raids/instances.

Tailoring/Enchanting: The money sinker of the game, if you level it then congratulations to you, but it's incredibly slow and the result of your effort isn't quite worth the immense lack of money in my opinion.

Skinning/Mining: Also a viable option because you will earn alot of money but when you group alot as Priests always tends to do then the opportunity to skin and mine will be limited due to your groupmembers needs.
