So whats the deal with the current Sword spec

I was told sword spec cant proc on special attacks (MS..hamstring..etc) ; cant double proc anymore, and when it does proc...it resets swing timer..

can someone confirm this because if thats the case....i think axe spec is probably superior now.

It can still multiple proc, it does proc off specials, but it does reset your swing timer still.

well i have friends with sword spec that say they havent had a special attack proc for a full day ... and they also said it doenst double proc (or they didnt notice it)

so im still undecided over this matter until i do more tests with my friend

It definitelly can double/triple/... proc. Yesterdays MC (WTB crit!):

I'm pretty sure it can proc off specials too, but no "hard" evidence here.

it does proc off specials like heroic strike. It does not proc off instant attacks. It can multi proc. If you read the 1.9 patch notes it said sword spec was fixed, there was later an update to that tho by blue stating that it was a mistake in the patch notes and it had not been fixed. It will however be fixed in a future patch so it procs on instant attacks but does not multi proc. For now axe spec ftw

If they make it only single proc but not reset the swing timer, it'll still be far better than it's ever been.

Maybe they'd do the same thing for WF totem, that would be too funny (and ultimately overpowered).
