Good move, but until Blizzard does the right thing and revamps the damage and mitigation system, this is only plugging holes in my opinion.

WoW has become far too focused on instant use spikey, critical/crushing damage without proper counters. Priests have used Flash Heal exclusively for a reason for over a year - everything else is too slow to react to people suddenly eating 4k+ dmg. It's one of the biggest issues this game faces right now in my mind, in both PvE and PvP.

We might have ourselves a soild game in about a year or two!

Few things I'd like to point out...

31 Disc Priests won't be doing any enourmous crits or insta-cast nuking with Power Infusion, so it's nothing compared to Mage, Warlock, or Shaman nuking even. Priest damage is not based on burst output and is therefore much easier to counter. If anything, Power Infusion should be wisely used to chain buff Mages using timers to yield the very same enormous bursts of damage they had before the nerf, with twice the duration. It just requires some teamwork now, which is good for everyone.

I think its going to be the mana efficiency of Priest DPS outside of the that makes people moan. Even still, that is far less detrimental than enormous face raping nukes and Mortal Strikes and Windfury/Stormstrike silliness.
