question about resistances

we are trying to gear up our tanks for AQ / green dragons with NR gear. i was wondering if every point for NR counts, since i remember reading that resistances would basically been the same for say 120-160 (dont know exact numbers), so it would be no use gimping yourself to reach 150 for example.

but cant find the info anywhere at the moment, so i was hoping someone here knows what im trying to ask and can answer me.

Any amount of resist is good. Attacker level *5 = max resist = 75% average reduction. You can do the math from there.
