"I'll be perfectly honest. Class balancing is a very delicate issue and player feedback is not as strongly weighed for class balance issues, simple because players are so sensitive about class balance issues. Yes we are aware of what players say, but at the same time, the developers' experience in this regard is much more important and relied upon.
Thus, please do not call for "nerf this class" or "change my class" because it is really difficult to get an objective opinion on the matter through the forums. "
that was a qoute from tyren.

What they should do is implement a Class Advocate kind of thing like SB had (not that it necessarily worked for Wolfpack...but it's a good idea nonetheless). Maybe several advocates per class, who can guage the playerbase and classes better than Blizzard ever could.
In one sense, Blizzard's right: players tend to be full of shit. But they need to find a balance here. Contrary to what developers like to think about themselves, they are the not the gods of their game. They need a way to work with the players on this too. Advocates would help.

sb advocate system was a joke. they just jerked eachother off and mostly pandered their own ideas to the devs.
ugh

But they need to find a balance here.
It sounds like that's exactly what they did: developers ideas are considered the authority, while players voices are used as support/negation. At least that's how I read it. Isn't that a balance?

The problem is the Warrior forums on the WoW site is a disaster and there is no actual place to put constructive class discussions without having a zerg of retards bump your post down with their own sob story of why they failed as a warrior.
In the end of beta it was bad enough and I read the forums everyday, nowadays I just don't bother since the ignorance makes baby Jesus cry.
The community team should moderate the official forums a lot more to keep it down to a constructive class forum, but that is a huge task with a 400,000+ player base.

They honestly need a team lead/Class Lead for each class, to gather constructive info and send it to the developers. IMO if Blizzard actually LISTENS to these people, and they aren't complete morons, things would work alot smoother in balancing. But I don't think that is Blizzards way :/
Tyren is right that players mostly want their class to be better than the others- but discounting every player post because of that factor is ignorant.
I don't see how someone can be clever enough to navigate the competitive world of video game development to a lead position at Blizzard without being able to discriminate between data and garbage on a class forum. If you play your own game, and know other people who do- it should become clear quickly who is a poor player, and who is provide insightful commentary. Indalamar was doing a pretty damned good job of backing up his opinions with fact and data to support it. I honestly don't think that a community advocate would have done as good of a job.
That said, Tyren can just ignore the forums now. The participants in the warrior forum are pretty much universally misguided and full of themselves. I cringe every time I see someone going there for advice, and read the direction they are given.
I suspect that in the end, Tyren won't listen to anything other than his instincts, but it would be bad PR to openly admit it. Whatever reasons he gives for that is just noise.

You speak the truth..
The Warrior forum is 50% "we suck" threads, and 49,9 "we own, you suck" threads and 0.1% usefull threads about macroing and stuff like that. But its damn hard to find the usefull threads when 10000 retarded peons spams the forum whit whine and crap
Blizzard should remove all the pointless BS from ther forums (Ther froums dosent need 10 new "nerf this and that" or "we suck/own" threads every 5 sec).
