I've been getting periodic error popups from my FrameXML ever since I got the patch and installed the new version. Is it just me?
Also, what features will break if I take out all of the FrameXML?
Thanks!

I've been getting them, but it's always while I'm "in action" with something so I haven't written it down. It has only happened twice so it's not a big deal, I'll write it down next time it happens.

If you can jot down the error and i can take a look at it, i haven't seen it yet so i couldn't tell you without seeing it.
If you delete out the FrameXML files the following features would be taken out.
Instant quest log text
Quest level text
Micro timers for buffs and debuffs
Tooltip for NPCs and PCs on the cursor
Fading health bars
Party member buffs and debuffs shown
I think that's everything for the FrameXML section, just put the error in this thread and i will take a look, it could be one of the updated default UI files from Blizz.

I don't know what happened, but I was unable to reproduce the errors. Only two things have changed since I was getting them:
1) The day I was having them, the game was having some serious lag, such as a completely unusuable auction house.
2) I deleted and reinstalled my Addons and FrameXML directory, instead of copying the new version on top of the old. I was pretty sure no files were renamed so this isn't needed, but I figured it couldn't hurt.

Error I got in the middle of combat a while ago.

I too am getting similar messages as the SS posted above. I have the control buttons locked, and I normally get the error when in combat, and clicking on my bottome buttons.
I am not sure if it is done just be clicking or if, pressing the hot keys would cause the problem as well, but in 3 hours of play last night, I got about 6 errors, I might try the above fix action that another user said he did.
Thanks

I got:
[string
"Interface\FrameXML\UIDropDownMenu.lua"]:143: attempt to concatenate global 'UIDROPDOWNMENU_OPEN_MENU' (a nil...
Morgan pointed out that this is coming from the DPS calc, you have to select something in the drop down attack menu, so when I selected any ability or total, this didn't pop up again.

Yeah that's where i'm guessing the other error is coming from too, i think it was posted in IRC last night, so i saw it as i was going to bed, hopefully i will have it fixed tonight.

Silly me, the other thing I did was delete CombatStats. No more problems after that.
PS - Is there a way to get CombatStats to *not* pop up a window that doesn't go away until you push the close button whenever you place your mouse on the frame displaying DPS? That popup is so annoying that I can't stand CombatStats. After having it block my view during a few fights I had to delete the directory and reload the ui.

Did this get patched up? I'm wondering if I should run a fresh DL yet or not :D
Thanks in advance,

I'm working on that problem still, i should have an update later today, the problem is with the DPS calc, so if you want you can just remove the CombatStats folder from your AddOns directory, this will get rid of all the errors.

It doesn't bother me in the least really. I had already selected a damage type in the drop down menu and hadn't gotten the error, hehe. It's just that I've promoted this UI heavily in our guild and want to make sure that the version I hosted is clean. All I changed was the cursor mouseover and the time to match our server, per your instructions.
It's funny. I tell folks where they can DL it and how they can modify it to suit them, but in the end it was just easier to host my edited version and give them a link. I hope that's ok! :D
Thanks a bunch.

Perfectly fine, i have to tell everyone in my guild how to do the same thing, main reason i want to get this menu up and running so everyone won't have to edit xml and lua files, i know a lot of people are uncomfortable doing that.
