WoW impressions in comic-style!

wow you're right that is pretty easy :)

don't remember using the filter before. works best if with more monotone coloured images like the rag hammer one, or if you posterize it a bit beforehand

i use adobe photoshop 9 >>> artistic filter >>> poster-edges

you have 3 sliders for this effect, i set them to value 0, 1 and 2. that´s it!


i´d like to render a small video in this style, any idea how this could be realized?

them epeen grow quite big on azshara.

btw. a nice smart blur before the posterize can help flatten out the colors a bit.

The Pic shows a Guildmate with her Endgame-Equipment. The HXbow needs to be in the pic somewhere .. so you can find it just infront of her on the ground.

If its cool/neat/whatever to people it doesn't really matter if a monkey can do it.

I definitely vote for making a comic strip using that style... pretty cool stuff.

I'm sorry but thats just wrong my friend. I just wanted to show what kind of things are possible in PS with more then just one filter. As I said befor I understand that many of you like the pics. And I dont say that they suck ass ... I just wanted to say that I (<-------) dont like them cuz of the easy filter. Thats my own opinion. The whole "comic-style" would just look better with some more editing as just applying one filter. Unfortunately my english is too poor for you to understand my intention.

Agree that the comic style looks freakin awesome, I'm shocked that a simple PSP filter is able to do that.

Perhaps someone with some serious PSP abilities can use the comic style as a base to do some interesting things?

The funniest part is the trash you talk, when all you did was use the laso tool to cut and paste shit and put it on a black background and then add a pretty little border. then the challenging part...putting up a fancy font with some pretty coloring done. Time consuming....ya...probably....worth the praise you claim? definately not.

I would dig a comic strip idea as well, in fact I'm going to start one if you dont! SO GET ON IT!

Its about textures .. soft edges .. light and shadow .. also special effekts like spells and enchants. Or do you really think a WoW Model looks so good? Not in this world.
