Broodlord's head...for the love of god!

once and for all, is the head of broodlord from BWL needed to get the ring rewards? or once 40 man aq opens can ppl get the rep and ring rewards without the head?

our guild is currently in a big debate whether or not to charge dkp for the broodlords head...and its driving me nuts.

The head's sole purpose is to get somone to neutral so they can talk to Anachronos BEFORE the gates are opened, once you get inside AQ you get a shitload of Brood of Nozdormu rep per kill, and once you are neutral you can talk to anachronos... So no theres no reason to charge DKP for the head.

thank you very much...i had 20 people yelling at me saying you couldnt get any of the signet reward rings without the head and therefore dkp has to be charged.

well uhm.. let them pay dkp and you dont buy it. whats the big deal if there is no use outta the head?

Broodlords head is necessary to start the AQ mission line. That mission line can be completed after the gate on your server has opened. The quest line is long and more or less requires a guild. There are multiple epic rewards.

Before the gate opened the only way to get Bronze Dragon rep was to farm the silithus insects, once the gate opens though AQ20 and AQ40 also help in the rep gain.

The rings are pure rep reward. It even says so on the new Rep page.
