Should I stick with my disfunctional guild just for old time sakes?

Should I keep sacrificing myself for this far far away server and have crappy latency just because my guild plays on it?

Should I lie on the guild forums? Or should I say, sry I'd rather be on my own coast?

~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
If I switch...
Should I make a Priest just so I can get groups better in an environment full of strangers?
Should I hop on the biggest server and hope there are enough ppl rerolling to join me in my late start?
Should I look to join some guild so I get some support?
Should I go Alliance becuase Ive played way too much Horde?
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~

Honestly, maybe I'm not thinking too hard right now. The thoughts are there though, a very confusing time for me especially with tons of college ap stuff going on. Am I having Fun? Will I have Fun? Hard to answer. :cry:

do what will make you happy. If your guild is not going well then step down politly. As for rerolling, there are always people rerolling, or just stating, that wont be a problem. The class you chose will be up to you, you will most likly not have too much trouble finding a group if you want it no matter what class you play. Bigger servers will help this, but if you dont get good latency it can get worse in heavily operated areas. ultimatly the choice is yours.

Whichever server has the largest number of friends or people you enjoy hanging out with the most (regardless of guild affiliation or their level); that's where you should be.

There isn't anything more important in my opinion.

A two week late start won't matter at all in a few weeks or months.

At least that's what I keep telling myself as I approach the maximum number of characters per account.

I suggest playing where you can get the most friends to play at the same time as yourself. WoW really isn't that fun solo, it wasn't designed for it. The real -fun- starts when you're doing instance runs with 5 good players and you all hit a 'groove' that works and you just glide through the game like a well oiled machine. This is no easy task, and those of us lucky enough to 'click' with people we like and get along with are naturally having a great time.

Pickup groups, as a rule of thumb, are almost always guaranteed to be terrible. You don't know these players, you don't know their style or their talent... and finding 4 others who work well is almost impossible. I say -almost- because believe it or not I had the pleasure of quite a few good groups that were random back in beta before I joined Nurfed fulltime. These were decent beta testers, and now that the game is in final release, your chances of finding these types of players is diluted by a lot of newbie bad players.

This is an important topic because so many try to follow the crowd and end up getting lost in it. I suggest you make your own wave and actively seek out players you can depend on and hook up with at the same time every night, similar play hours to your own.

Server choice isn't as important as being where you know people and have a good time. If your current guild isn't doing you good, find friends who feel the same way or are looking for something better and create your own guild. Even if you create a guild with random signups and then kick them all out to just you and your close friends, you can always build on that later. A guild can be a simple place for friends to meet up and nothing more... no politics or drama or serious purpose.

By asking here on this forum, you seem to be looking for others like yourself. Hopefully some guys with similar goals will pm you or hook up with you and you can find your groove.

Good Luck.
