View Full Version : For casters, 1% hit = how much +damage?

I already have 2 ZG enchants so I am covered for PVP, but I am wondering for PVE how much another % hit is worth versus +damage?
Anyone have an idea of relative values here?
it doesnt add +dmg, what it does is decrease the chance an enemy resists ur frost bolt, normally its 5% chance to resist(with no resistance). so +5% hit will cause your spells NEVER to get resisted, should the enemy have 0 resistance to that spell,
While in pve ~10%-20% hit is still good, i think more than 5-6% in pvp is kinda wasted.
5% is very nice to have for pvp tho and i would scale it with +10% of our allover end dmg.

ivo did you even read my question? I know what +hit does, I am mostly just trying to decide whether getting the Band of Forced Concentration is worth it since I already have 2 rings of spellpower and 2 ZG enchants.
Both +hit and +damage add to your overall DPS. I'm just wondering how much +damage would equate to +1% hit in terms of increase to DPS.
it is about 1% more dmg (almost like 1%crit). how much +dmg u need to get 1% more dmg? it depends on your current gear and spell u want to use and should equal about +10dmg for frostbolts.
Most of our mages took ebonrocs ring over spellpower rings together with the silithus spelldmg ring off the summons..
