View Full Version : How do you set up your raids?

Hey,

This question is for anyone in a high end raiding guild. We typically rotate the person creating our raids for ony/mc/etc by having that person invite everyone and then zoning into the instance first. Once they are in, they change the raid by giving master looter priorities to the same person each raid. (I speculate this may be part of our problem, but idk)

Is this perhaps the reason we get (for example) an Ancient Cornerstone Grimoire *every* time from Onyxia?

How do you all handle your raid set ups? And do you have any speculation as to how to make things like Vis'kag or other rogue stuff drop (we have very very very little rogue stuff drop, always hunter stuff).

Thanks in advance, sorry if the question is asked often or seems trivial.

There was a discussion about that when you change the raidleader you get different drops, but we ever have the same PM and Raidleader and get good shuffled loots, so theres no reason for us to change

Blizzard said that RL had no affect on loot.

Then they acknowldged that when the Raid Leader zoned in, a loot id was assigned based upon this person. So it was prudent to change raid leaders to see different loot, or choose one known to have a desirable loot table.

Then they said they fixed it (1.8ish iirc).
