I went on my horde character, msg'ed one of you guys during our little grom'gol raid, and challenged you guys to a fight vs alliance, in 5v5 fashion.
Anyways...Our strategy was to shackle your priest, focus your shaman, then take your rogue...Well, before the shackle landed, our priest was sapped. Our paladin didn't seal off the sap, and everything went to crap after that. Not to mention, we had two warriors, when we could've had a 60 warlock instead =\
So your first move was sapping the priest. It all happened pretty quickly, but a few people have told me that the rogue (Thaloc) had made his way across the arena during the countdown...Honestly, is that true?
Was a great fight though, I was hoping we'd continue, but it seems servers are done for the week-end. + a bunch of us are going to try guildwars during the server downtime.
Seeya guys on the battleground =]

no he did not go before. he was going to sap a warrior but they ran ahead of him so he sapped you instead.

Was a lot of fun in these last few hours of the game before stress test.
You guys outplayed us real well in that 5v5, sapping our priest leaving us with 0.25 healers vs 3 (our paladin vs priest druid and shaman). Makes you wonder who could stop a 5 rogue team in a 5v5.

get in combat so you are not able to be sapped

if your priest gets saped in the arena, one of your guy could of left the party and attack your own priest.
but thaloc might of also stealth sprinted there.

Just before servers went down, I told my grp in /raid to have our priest degroup and give him a wack, but someone said that would be cheating, and then servers went down =\
What we should've really done was have our paly cast seal of protection, and that's it...

my intention wasn't even to sap the priest, but everyone else ran past me.
I was slightly off to the side of my 4 allies, but I was nowhere near your guys, and maybe 10 yards at most from my teammates :O
as for the leaving the group to break sap thing, I suppose since its possible to do you could've done it. However, when battlegrounds come out, I can only assume that you won't be able to /duel your teammates, or leave raid groups to break spells and stuff like that.
PS. I think you may be on to something with the multiple rogues thing...
a group of maybe 3 rogues and 2 druids could all get stealthed up, and if all 3 rogues had some talents into stealth, you could drop it down to a 5on2 almost instantly, and still have 3 direct damage dealers and 2 healers...Not to mention once a player vanishes he can resap someone incase the the 5on2 lasts longer than 45s =]

Welcome to what I've been preaching for the last month. Sap is physical, and only a few skills can remove it. Steath is powerful as hell.

I think when you vanish, any saps you may have active is removed. Must be Blizzard's way of countering that strategy. But yeah I thought about a rogue/druid flanking group to counter the alliance zerg. If you look at the alliance zerg from behind you'll see it WIDE OPEN, casters drinking, alliance people running in to join the battle, newbies running around, etc. If I had other stealthers with me I'd do something about it.

Only one victim can be sapped at a time anyways.
