Alright, time for another crazy idea. I've already got SandDemon the "weird" paladin healer...and I'm kinda bored with my hunter, so I was thinking of making a new alt. I thought I might revive my 60 rogue and try something new: poisons/bleed.
So I look into the numbers and a solid talent build that purely focuses on dodging and landing poison/bleeds. For those that number crunch, this is the 4 main factors of damage:
Rupture
331 over 6 seconds = 55.17 damage a second
Hemorrage
7dmg*30 charges= 210 damage (14dmg sec assuming weapon speeds)
Garrote
482 over 12 sec = 40.17 damage a second
Deadly Poison
124 (621) over 12 seconds each = 51.75 damage a second.
So that's a total of 162 damage a second...NOT including weapons and using the rest of my combo points.
Now assuming I have 1% dodge from being a night elf, 5% base, 5% from Lightning Reflexes, 14% from gear (I'd be gearing for it. Agil and +dodge gear...if ya look at thottbot, I could easily hit 20%), and 15% from ghostly strike (not using anything else really besides 1 point ruptures)....I'll be a constant 40% dodge. Evasion will put me at 100%.
Now assuming that I avoid warriors like the plague (overpower = bad...I could cheapshot, land all my poisons and vanish and let them die), I think that could be really freaking nasty. Add in some more stuff like Chain of Eranikus Essence and maybe some "dot" gear/weapons.......
This could be freaking nuts. (Glad we're alliance, dont have to deal with Stoneform) - sure cleansers could be an issue but how many people worry about deadly poison these days?
Now that I think about it....if I really wanted to be freaking nasty, I could lose the +15% more poison damage talent (and malice...ewww) and go down the combat line and take Mace spec.
So you're sitting there, minding your p's and q's...when you suddenly get garroted and ruptured. You think you're spiffy and blink or something else as pointless, and I either vanish and cheapshot or kidney shot you. Add some fast maces and suddenly you're getting stunlocked by a mace spec rogue while you're taking easily 250+ damage a second...and I'm not even breaking a sweat. Suddenly the stuns become immune and you're getting low on health - I could either revanish (prep), blind or even gouge...and watch your life tick away til you die.
