Upgrade Discounts and BWL

I was wondering how u guys deal with the amount of DKP coming out of BWL due to upgrades.....it seems like MC is worth double the DKP of BWL due to upgrade discounts.... and BWL takes more time/repair bills so i thought it would make sense for BWL to be worth more.... how do u guys deal with this?

and what about people who only need t2 cuz they got everything out of MC and got mass dkp? (especially if you switch from eqdkp to ndkp) they will get every item before anyone else.. ? :/

Quite the misnomer. In guilds that routinely have about 60 personnel that raid regularly you will always have a select group of individuals who have everything they need from MC but come along to help those in the guild get what they need to complete their sets.

One of the major problems with any upgrade system (and we can thank blizzard to the absolutely shitty scaling of Tier 1 to Tier 2 gear for this) is that the majority of DKP earned will always be that of of the lowered tier instances where full values are paid for items where upgrades are not taken into account. MC is a mass DKP farming ground.

For example we have had VERY little Prophecy drop in BWL in comparison to other items. We havent had bad luck at all on Transcendence so far but we only just recently downed chromaggus and are starting on Nefarian.

Conceiveably one priest could whore the top out of the priest tree (We do have a guild policy that states all priests will have their 3 piece Trans before they go onto others to benefit the guild overall) and also whore the nonclass trinkets and stuff that is beneficial to them and other classes as well. Its the main reason that my guild wont be using the formula system which is a damn shame really. I hate to have to make preset DKP for all the tier 1 and tier 2 items but with the lack of DKP scalability the motivation to do such an instance on a character that isnt "top" in their respective class charts isnt all that enticing. Players care about character progression and unfortunately (Again i blame blizzard not NDKP) is just doesnt scale well in this game. I mean damn look at how long its taken them to get ANY druid specific loot into this game. Its taken what a year?
