Hi guys,

Is it just me, or does nDKP 2.51b doesn't update the DKP values earned from the raids after raid edit?

Should the value per member per raid be Total DKP Value of the items devided by total members?

Just to experiment I have edited a raid, added another raider, then added him to attendance page, and to make sure it worked - re-calculated the DKP, and it hasn't changed from what it has been (essentially created the DKP out of thin air)

Has anyone else encounted this?

You're absolutely correct Asia. Thank you for your response, indeed this is not a bug. My test had been thrown off by the following:

Test Scenario
1. Create a raid with player_name who is not added to the database yet. Ignore the warning (in red) about user who does not exist.

2. The system will add the raid, however for every user who is not in the database, system will record userID 0 as attendee.

Note: UserID 0 is represented by, essentially, nothing; however the system will still count him as a player in division of DKP points. Thus in a raid of 10 players, 9 of whom are DKP players, and 10th "one-time" Pickup who is not in the system the system will initially record 9 real attendees and one playerID 0, thus loosing 1 / 10 of the DKP away from the system (because playerID 0 does not exist and nothing of him is recorded)

Assume the raid is worth 10 points, these 10 are divided one point per person among 9 real players and one ID-0 player, which leaves 9 points in the system incurring a loss of 1/10th. The system no longer balances.

However if the raid is subsequently manually edited, ID-0 user is truncated (automatically by empty space filters) the total number of attendees is reset to correct 9, points are redistributed and system restores balance.

Working as intended?

Sincerely,
Gkor

On the side note, I can barely wait for new 3.0 release so that I may have something to do over the weekend, looking for bugs and perhaps coding the part for raid enumeration ;))

I'll speak with Tivoli and get this out :)

The Admin Control center now includes a help system as well. The system will explain how to use NDKP, as well as generalize nurfed DKP information.
