I'm kinda stuck between the two. I really don't know, I just like the AP.

I have the Bloodsoaked atm, but it's just a matter of what other gear you have. Are you lacking in AP get bloodsoaked - if you're lacking in crit (as I am) get Abyssal.

Both are great, but generally most warriors have enough crit, so I slightly favor bloodsoaked.

Either way, warriors need more epic leggings viable for pvp.

eldritch ftw!! :P

Thats what I use while I am waiting for my Abyssal to drop or pop up on the AH :) I have bloodsoaked.... not sure why people wear these pvp when everybody is bound to have eldritch at the very least. If it doesnt have crit and/or agi I pass.

Taking abysaal over eldritch ? WTF, givig up 5hp for 6agi? Only if abysal fits better to your other equip from style perspective, i would choose them...

But for sure Bloodsoaked Legplates>>eldritch/abysal

That totally depends, I don't think Bloodsoaked are better, but that's because my crit is so low and my AP is too high for the low crit rate I have.

I have all 3 legplates (bloodsoaked/abyssal/eldritch) and I use abyssal :)

IMO something around 5000hp unbuffed is enough in pvp. It will usually give your healers enough time to heal you back to full, while the extra damage (crit, atk power) will make the difference when you are kicking some major ass.

I'm not sure what's funnier, the fact that you suggested those or the fact you think you're gonna loot them.

oh, and URO has 3000 armor and 4000hp, true story.

What's so bad about 3k armor and 4k HP? I got that, too.

I bet he has a really good melee AND spell crit rate for a warrior though!

Untrue story.

What's probably funnier than both is what he does to cloth and rogues, which would only improve if he did loot them.

If you have zero survivability who cares how much damage you put out? The 3,000 armor/4,000 health bit was a joke .. but uro is definately going in the right direction :)

Arguably: Everyone is dying so quickly at the high end that it doesnt really matter how much HP you have. GG scaling.

That's the attitude I like to hear, it's the "ehhh doesn't matter how much hp i have, i'll die anyways" thinkers who let me kill them in 1-2 shots. I can tell the difference between someone with 4500-5000 hitpoints and the difference is usually who's standing and who's not when I get done with them.

Why should you focus a warrior when he gets heal from priests, or when there are mages with dual trinkets that are nuking your grp?

Nous
12-10-2005, 02:54 PM
Because if you don't focus the warrior he will rape ur whole group?

Especially if you know the warrior is running around with tons of mail/low hp. I used to always target and rape down Brimbly when I saw him because I knew he'd fall quickly and he was a huge threat.

Obviously if there are rogues/mages whatever running around priority sometimes shifts, adaptability etc etc.. but if you know a warrior is running with tons of mail and low hps, than that warrior becomes just another target. Also, horde warriors imo can get away with the "ferrari build" better than alliance because horde doesn't have to deal with other warriors with windfury unlike alliance.

Anduryondon
12-10-2005, 03:24 PM
thats true, but the warrior can just take on his shield and go def stance, so he gets ~15-20% less physical dmg and 10% less magical dmg + he gets heal.

Nous

Yah I was one of the first on archimonde to employ that tactic regularly, but sometimes when an ambush + pom pyro or aimshot/ms crit etc happen having that extra 500-700 hp is the difference between being able to pop a tuber and going wtf just happened and checking ur combat log. I'm not suggesting you need to be running around with 6k hp and 5k ac at all times. But there is a line I will not cross, and usually that line is around 5200 hp and 4k ac. And if you wish to do any solo pvp than you definetly need 5500+ or so for most situations.

And honestly its pretty pathetic how many warriors don't use a sword board/defensive stance when they are trained on.

keboman
12-10-2005, 07:33 PM
Yeah, I watch a lot of warrior sit in berserker stance while frost nova'd. Even if they know a ZG trinket/TOEP bomb is coming their way they seem to like taking 21% extra damage from it.

I don't actually agree with what I said earlier, I was just playing devil's advocate but its not an invalid point.

If gear continues to scale the way it is having a ton of HP still wont really save you from being 2 shotted.
