My guild finally got Rag in farm status and we're trying BWL next week for the first time. We have never put our feet in there and we don't know what to expect. So I started looking for some guides to help a bit. Found a couple of videos and a few alliance based incomplete guides. Helps but I wanted something better.

Where could I find some good horde oriented written guides?

why don't you guys try it without anything? Only look for guides on parts of BWL that you are stuck on? Like certain bosses. Learning how to kill a boss + finally killing it can be a great thing for a guild, on morale + growth.

I personally don't know about the other members of my guild, a good bunch of them will agree with you, but I rather make a better use of my time =) With a step by step guide we would get it into farm status much quicker. The time wasted on learning it could have been used in anything more productive, such as scracthing my balls. If it has been done already, I see no reason why to reinvent the wheel.

Your proposition to wipe several times ourselves have only 1 benefit: increase our ego. Sorry, but that doesn't work for me, killing a scripted mob on a video game won't make me feel better about myself in any sense. My ego is fine due to many RL accomplishments so I don't need the game to fill it up. From each new boss kill we would get and advance on, my thoughts wasn't "Wooo we got him! We are pwnzorz!" but was more like "Eww, finally.. How could take it us so long.." I think aquiring the gear is more fun than wiping several times before you get it :) Maybe we're just different, maybe you think I'm cold hearthed like my gf keeps telling me. Or maybe your play time is just longer than mine so you don't mind spending so much time on the "learning" part. But wiping is simply not time-efficient and I got better stuff to do about my life and the short time I have available to play I rather spend having fun with the game, such as killing ppl with my quality gear :)

I'm sure NA has a guide or something.Nah, all they got are the videos. Which are actually great and helped me a bunch. But it's sometimes hard to get it what is going on when you never even step there. I wanted more of a "BWL for dummies" type of thing ^^

Thanks!

Why the hell are you playing the game then? Now that does sound like a waste of time.

Learning an encounter teaches a guild many different things, one of them in particular - coordination. When a new zone comes around, are you going to ignore it? Or zone in and find out, "we're all decked in t2", why can't we kill the first boss?

We’ll see how morale goes then.

It's the same idea as memorizing to pass a test in school. It doesn't work out in the long run.

the Wipe factor in every Bwl encounter is like 90%+ starting with the 50+ mobs at razorgore .random healer Ba-s at vael agro control on broodlord lucky resist factor at firemaw and so on

Even the best guides on the net wont help you experiencing every part of the encounter till you try it over and over again

And these guides dont talk about the certain amount of skill coordination and inteligence people got to poses to manage these encounters

So good luck and wish you alot of wipes

haha, you're going to hate bwl and the first 2 bosses. All the guilds i know do razorgore slightly different. What works for us, doesn't have to work for someone else. It's an encounter you have to learn before it gets easy.

I wish you lots of wipes.

Yeah I hear you just cast it on your raid and the mobs fall over and you grab the purpalz. It's great.

Well I have a (noob/dumb/weird?) question here too. :)

We are doing fine with razorgore, till one point ... our healers kinda die too fast it seems. The best try was getting him to 89 percent with like 7 ppl left after phase 2.

So my main question is not, "how do we beat him goddamnit", since we did improve, its just like everyone is exhausted when there are only few eggs left and 9/10 just die in no time, how gear dependant is this? We have had several changes the last weeks, but are killing rag for a while now, should every Raidmember have at least 5/8 tier 1 epic set pieces or is it doable with less?

If theres only a few eggs left you can pull aggro with razorgore himself, have warlocks/warriors run in and fear, mages frost nova legis away from him. Works pretty well.

That´s what we do, our controller hits out that fireball thingy, getting aggro with raz, but at that point it seems to be too late already, yesterday it did at least.

It just seems to me that we cant handle the melees long enough because of a lack in HP.

We take care of the mages, keep up melees and at a certain point everything collapses *bang* 30 ppl dead.

We even managed to get raz killed when like 3 eggs were left

Btw. is it your priests healing? Ours die way too fast as i said before. Referring to that, do you guys have subtlety? ;)
