View Full Version : Update on ndkp 3.0 - what's coming!
We are aware that there are some discrepencies with Paladins and weapon looting. At this time we are working with a top raiding Alliance Guild to assist with formulas and dps values so that Paladins will have their own formulas and not default to shaman formulas.
I apologize for the delay on this, but please know that as soon as I can solidify a fair DKP Formula that balances paladin dps, healing and plate gear, I'll put up an immediate patch to fix it.
Thank you for your patience with us.

Ahh good to hear Asia. One of the things I really like about this system is the formula's can be updated via a patch and the admin just has to hit apply formula's and it's all up-to-date.
I did notice Paladins seemed to become the new 'most expesnive' class once I entered their armour sets.
As a side note, I'm very much looking forward to the in-game mod to track a raid >_<

Also, Paladins aren't listed in the DKP Calculator's "Class Restrictions" dropdown. Might wanna throw them in there when you update next. :)
Thanks for a great system!

Any news about this? I'm looking into switching from our custom made zero-sum point system to the whole Nurfed DKP site (we've always used your values for items), but the paladin problems would have to be fixed first.
Vs. 3.0 is a major upgrade that will do many things including the new paladin formulas. Because of the large changes and additions 3.0 will take some time. :) But not too long some of the really large additions and fixes are either in testing or near completion.
Here are what's done in 3.0 at this tme:
Re-organized process dkp into multiple functions for easy upgrades. (Major bitch!)
Renamed database tables to include NDKP_ initialed names - This feature will be supported in the upgrade script for 3.0
PHP_GLOBALS_OFF now compliant Fixed a ton of stuff here, login issues etc..
World of Warcraft version 1.9 compliant
Player Alt characters now supported - A player who's main is Warrior may play his alt character Shaman and pay Shaman Prices but shares DKP spending and earnings with main.
Wishlist now in internal raid testing - Currently Nurfed stands at the internal raid testing. We've found many bugs and we are still enhancing this part of 3.0
Paladin formula now supported with faction setting requirement
Paladin Weapons now independent of Shaman Weapons but still default shaman armor
Edit Item clean up
Adjusted DKP - Include support for guilds who wish to pad DKP into a non zero sum dkp. (Will Support initial DKP dumping of current DKP)
2.05 upgrade script
CSS files now linked
magic_quote_gpc() compliant
New installation files
eqDKP 1.30 Upgrade
Windows hosting compliant
What Asia is working on right now.
NOTHING!
These are just a few things we're doing to get NDKP 3.0 more user friendly. We thank everyone who has helped us with the 2.0 beta phase and we hope that 3.0 will have everything you need to manage your guild DKP and we can move into a safe full version release shortly after..
I'll have more on the ETA of 3.0 as soon as I get the installations and Adjusted DKP completed. I am gong through the forums and making sure I have all the bug fixes, if I miss any, please post them here so I can include the fix.

Great to hear Asia. The ability for players to play alts is just great. Are the attendance records also shared between the main and the alt - or do admins need to take care of this manually?
Also, can a main have multiple alts tied to it?

Players can have multiple Alt's.. the alts will only be used to determine pricing of the item looted by the alt..
i.e. Player is a warrior, his alt is a hunter... Hunter loots Bow, Player is charged full Hunter DKP of the bow. Player earns DKP, earns attendance. Alt is sharing Player DKP.

For guilds that already have players running alts, will there be a migration path for combining them?
At the moment I am treating main and alt DKP independantly and aggregating the attendance records.
If not, I can tell people to stop playing their alts and wait for the new version.
there wont' be a way to automatically update. What you can do is.. edit the raids and add the loot and attendance of the alt to the player then add the alt as an alt and loot to player / alt.
It will become more clear when we release :)

I understand exactly what you mean. The form sounds sensible and well thought out
Thanks Asia, the guild I am part of have really got into the Nurfed DKP system - always positive feedback.
As a guild just starting out on raiding end game, I've found it extremely beneficial in building a core team due to the attendance records system.
