View Full Version : Why Archimonde?

1: It's completely overcrowded (THE most crowded server actually)
2: It's attracting stupid guilds like clan sek5 ( http://www.clanseks.com ), Mofo whom is affiliated with sek5 ( http://www.mofogamers.com ), and many more.
3: There are no good Alliance guilds.
Seriously, why did you pick archimonde? It has to be the worst choice.

1 and 2 are true mainly because they picked it, not the other way around.
3 I think will prove false.

Yeah, Ralcor's got Silvermoon on Archimonde!
Now now, no need to put Seks down. Y'all should settle down before you come to such a conclusion.

Archimonde was chosen, by popular vote, amongst the PvP guilds in beta to be the 'chosen' server (1st alphabetically listed PvP server of CST).
Sinister's Bonedancer made a post a week or two before the end of beta suggesting a central server be chosen, and most agreed and signed up their guilds or decided to go elsewhere. As a result, Archimonde is now the most popular PvP server.
Why? Well it's much more fun to fight against names you know and recognize (even DiE is good for having a mutual enemy) and people like the tight guild community feel.
The "Queue" problem is an after-effect and could not be anticipated before the game was released. WE chose Archimonde before it got this bad and not after, so it's moot to say "you shouldn't play there the lag is terrible." We're not going to pack up the entire guild and leave.
We'll weather the storm, like most of the top notch players and eventually it will die down and become a steady and interesting community.
If you are impatient and don't already have a guild waiting for you to join them on Archimonde, I recommend choosing a less crowded server.

A lot of unguilded people are flocking to it because there's so many big guilds there and it's the hot spot to be. I myself am there because I know there's going to be alot of action. I hope to find a decent guild to get in to and enjoy my time there. I know that this will all die down within a week and it's worth the wait for me to play on a server where there will be a lot of top notch players that I can with and against. Some impatient people will leave and go elsewhere, some won't like the lag. It should be fine within a week (hopefully).

There are no good Alliance guilds.
I beg to differ. In fact, I encourage you to go horde. When all you see is "Release Spirit?" then come back here and tell us all what you think.
By the way, WMD will be sticking it out through "Position in Queue" hell. Why? Well because if we moved to a server with less competition, at the risk of sounding arrogant, we would dominate it in short order, get bored, and then what?
No, Archimonde is where the best pvp is going to be, and its where we are going to stay.

I disagree. Many are now seeing its a long wait and now would rather play elsewhere. I noticed the ques are getting less and less.

so according to you, nurfed's choice of archimonde was wrong for nurfed?
tsk tsk =p
isn't it wonderful how you are right whereis the entire guild of nurfed and their decision making on which server is wrong.

1: It's completely overcrowded (THE most crowded server actually)
So you'd rather play on an empty server?
2: It's attracting stupid guilds like clan sek5 ( http://www.clanseks.com ), Mofo whom is affiliated with sek5 ( http://www.mofogamers.com ), and many more.
Like we have any control over that?
3: There are no good Alliance guilds.
By who's definition?

You do relize that the servers were picked before hand. No mater what server we would have chosen, it would have been the EXACT SAME Problem.

You guys (all the big pvp guilds) dont understand what position you have put the other pvp servers in though.
Because of everyone going there the other servers will lack any real pvp talent. So now anyone that wants to play with the big dogs has to go to Archimonde which makes every other server meaningless because everyone wants to play there.
When I started playing yesterday and couldnt get into Archimonde I went to like 6 diffrent servers and felt uncomfortable on each one. Then again this may just be because im missing the fun of Sullon Zek...

Most of the non-guilded wanted to tag along for either the chance to join up with a good guild (I'm currently with AoA (yes I did that :P), grouping with Nurfed whenever I can) or just to have a good old time pvp'ing with the rest of everyone.
That's how things work.

Then maybe Blizzard should pay all uber PvP guilds 15 dollars a month per player to play on their designated PvP servers and give the PvP-starved audiences the challenge they're looking for.

Absurd to think no one has any talent if they do not play on Archimonde, by the time people are capped at 60 they will know what end of the rifle to point at you. Then people who were never in CB or even read the forums will have conquered the small learning curve in this game, any server you go to will be competitive, but if you want to play with friends and adversaries you made from CB then Archimonde is the server of choice.

Good job on demeaning everyone who chose not to play on Archimonde.
