hello there!
i got the hibernation crystal http://wow.allakhazam.com/db/item.html?witem=20636
from the outdoor ysondre 2 days ago and it has no dkp value with ur system yet :/ and we still have problems to set the right dkp value for it.
i hope u can help us to solve that dkp problem :)

Actually we have recently been experimenting with new DKP costs for trinkets with re-use timers, right now we use 100% cost regardless of reuse. We've been messing around with a 100% for pvp cost / pve cost (duration/re-use) so for this trinket it would be 20% cost for pve, so 120% / 2 = 60% ... 17.045 * .6 = 10.227. It brings a lot of the trinkets down into perspective where they belong instead of costing upwards of 30 points.

What if the cooldown was 10 minutes
or if it was 30 seconds
or, if it was +XXX for 1 min instead of 15 seconds.
Even if i love the ndkp calculator, it just can't cover every bit of the items, and just to know what price would you give to this trinket with this time/cooldown and the same with a 5min cooldown?

As Nisstyr says, we're currently testing a new Trinket Formula the admin will be able to apply the Time used and the Cooldown per trinket so the formula is accurate for each trinket. It is not a global cooldown.
((Time Used / Cooldown) + 100) / 2)= Percentage value of full Trinket DKP Value to use for DKP value.
i.e: Talisman of Ephimeral Power
Apply Formula:
Percentage Of Time Used = 15 seconds divided by 75 seconds (cooldown) = 20.000
add PvP at 100% = 120%
Divide by 2 = Percentage of DKP to use: = 60%
DKP Value = 28.5 * 60% = 17.1 total DKP
so you would basically take any trinket apply the time used and cooldown and the formulas will define the percentage of the total dkp to use:
if 10 minutes you equate that to 36000 seconds. (All Time Used and Cooldowns are user input when adding or editing Items)
Should the new trinket formula pass, the Calculator and Item modification forms will include a space for Time Use and Cool down on trinkets.
The full DKP value (42) is based on a new damage formula, those are the numbers i have on hand to test the new trinket. If based on the current formulas it will be: 28.578 *58.3335% = 16.6705 DKP

The DKP formulas for trinkets make sense in terms of factoring in cooldowns. Some trinkets have some really funky stats though, and I was wondering how you got the raw DKP value of the trinket based off stats for some of them. I know your DKP calculator is supposed to solve most of the cases, but trinkets tend to have a bunch of use abilities that provide uncommon stats, which the DKP calculator seemingly doesn't cover.
For instance, cooldowns aside, how did you determine the raw trinket DKP value of The Black Book?
The Black Book
Binds when picked up
Unique
Trinket
Classes: Warlock
Requires Level 60
Use: Empowers your pet, increasing pet damage by 100% and increasing pet armor by 100% for 30 sec. This spell will only affect an Imp, Succubus, Voidwalker, or Felhunter.
I guess a few more interesting examples that would help us understand the way NDKP formulas work would be:
Arcane Infused Gem
Binds when picked up
Unique
Trinket
Classes: Hunter
Requires Level 60
Use: Infuses you with Arcane energy, causing your next Arcane Shot fired within 10 sec to detonate at the target. The Arcane Detonation will deal 185 to 215 damage to enemies near the target.
and
Venomous Totem
Binds when picked up
Unique
Trinket
Classes: Rogue
Requires Level 60
Use: Increases the chance to apply Rogue poisons to your target by 30% for 20 sec.
If you could show me how you came up with the raw trinket DKP values for each of those 3 trinkets (you don't have to include the cooldown calculations, just the raw trinket values), it'd clear up much of the mystery that surrounds trinket DKP values.
