First, thanks for all you are doing for the community.
Second excuse my english it's not my natural.
Well this being said i want to discuss a bit about how you see the dkp process.
How do you calculate the dkp gained in one raid sessions, by adding all dkps from looted item and divided by the number of players ?
Is there any way to add some "bonuses" to this process like first time kill, or even .. give some dkp for the wipe sessions (i.e vs a new boss)
Your calculator seems fine, but a bit buggy, i was toying around and sometimes i get real strange values like a 0.10000 for a "perdition-like" dagger. Is it still in ..mm.. beta ?( meaning are you still workin on it? )
oh, my last question for today, when can we be expecting to see a release of the site part of nurfed dkp, am really excited about it.
Keep up the good work!

Yes, it is a zero sum system, points spent divided by number of players.
At this time it is not possible to add bonus DKP directly to a raid.
The calculator is working fine except for daggers, but we have this fixed internally.
We are planning on launching later this week, depending on our own internal testing.

Let me just say that I think what you're building here is great. Our guild has been testing the DKP add on a bit and have liked it so far. When you say that you are looking to launch it this week, does that include the web reporting?
I've looked at the LUA file that the current add on creates and I don't see enough info to make what you've made on the demo site. Will the released add on send more info out to the LUA file?
Again, although I am the hated Alliance, I hope all goes well with your development and greatly anticipate the release of what appears to be a really useful add on.

Well thx for the fast answer i guess i'll just create a "dummy" item and make it loot by a dummy player so everyone can have a bit of dkp in case we just loot nothing (and that happens a lot in bwl for us sadly \o/ )
I'll be visiting your site everyday for some words up about the release, i'm dripping wet (so to speak.)

That's a great solution Blobe, if you do it this way the item will be listed on the items page however. We'll keep this in mind for an upgrade.
NDKP runs on an attendance rule. You have higher chance to loot an item if you have 50% of attendance. (Hence the fading on the main windows.) Nurfed determines attendance based on the last 6 weeks, you have a choice to keep the last 6 weeks or alter it to fit your needs. (i.e. 365 days ) . This is how we bonus players for being at the raids where dkp is not earned (no loot) but attendance is earned.
The dummy player/item will work as well.
The calculator as Tivoli has stated has been fixed internally. The current calculator is bugged if you do not place in the Armor Slot (I.E. one hand, main hand etc.. ) of the dagger.
When entering weapons: Speed, Low End, Top End, Proc and Armor Type and Armor Slots are important in generating the correct DKP value of the item.

What you mean is , if played A has 10 dkp, player B has 10 dkp, the one with the more attendance will get priority right ?
We are already using a dkp system acutally without bids, but we allow people that are close(price of the item / 4),in terms of dkp standings,to roll for an item.
The thing is in our guild players are used to receive dkp's even on wipe sessions, if we don't do that am affraid everyone will be present for mc cake run and a bit less will come to face ebonroc (our current bwl boss).
On the other hand that could be a good way to get rid of the bad apples so to speak.
Well i didn't know about this attendance part , it's a good thing i guess.
What i want to do , once the dkp site is up, is to port all my previous raids (around 100 i guess , poor me) to the nurfed one, and see if there is some big differences or not.
I expect some whines, but our dkp system is running into a wall, so i gues s it's time to change, and i trust you about being fair . That's why am here :)
Keep up the good work

Depending on your current pricing, If you maintained tier integrity it should scale nicely with some surprises but ont a whole lot.
NDKP formulas are based around the stats of the items. Bloodfang for example loses points compared to nightslayer (belt and bracers.) due to the items base stats.
We've addressed this in some formula changes to spell dmg and spell crits and waiting on approval to launch it. If approved that new formula in addition to a new way to price trinkets will be brought on to the beta.
