Do you guys have any plans for Vanguard? I understand that they havent really said much about their pvp, but from the what I understand they will probably end up making alternate rules servers like Sullon Zek from EQ in which case I would be supremely happy.

In my opinion the PvE looks good, the PvP has a chance to be good, and the player base is already huge from all the EQ fans so ill be signing up for beta as soon as it opens (Beta 1 was supposed to be September, but it hasnt come yet. So expect Beta 2 to open up early next year).

the game sucked ass, the storyline was gay, the pvp was mediocre at best and every character looked the same. I levelled an Elem/Mes up to 15, and its really boring. WoW keeps me playing.

Why was the story line gay and what made you think the pvp was mediocre? Are you just going to make these statements without providing any basis for them? Guild Wars isn't my cup of tea, but I recognize it as a quality product which did exactly what it set out to do.

shadowbane was great, the only problems it had was stability....

the character development was deep, you could make at least 1 "uber" build out of every profession. and with the ability to have different starting class's take the same profession and play totally different + all the disc options you could actually have a fairly unique character

completly open PvP and mostly free looting, burning down someones city or destroying parts of it got a hell of a response.

you could PvP and be effective at low levels with most class's, would you ever see a decently geared level 24 character kill a level 71 character in WoW? i dont think so, but if you know what your doing you could do that in SB

those screens are from the OLD developer, (ie, terrible). Mythic recently acquired rights to do the WH game.

Nah what's wrong with GuildWars? Nice competitive PvP that is always there. The only catch is what you need a group of 8 competent players to PvP.

Sucks its coming out in 2007 though, I don't know what im gonna do till then cause I've tried going back to DAOC but there just isnt enough people. And the PvP in this game is just horrid.

There are some problems in itemization and a severe lack of PvP rewards/punishment, but overall, the game doesn't have terrible mechanics. Notice problems in itemization? :) Itemization can be fixed fairly easily in a few patch and doesnt equate to bad game mechanics. They are already working on it with this new patch by fixing the slow weapon thing.

Edit- but yeah, the dps increases the new weapons give are rediculous.

wow is a great singel player game from 1-60 lots of fun after that i got bored very fast with the raids and the horrid pvp.
