Hi everyone, with release around the corner i have been trying to decide which class i would like to be. I know lots of other people are also trying to decide but i would like the opinion of those who know more about the game. One thought i had was to be a a preist with the shadow talents. I will be duoing and soloing alot, and my guild is comprised of a whole mix of classes (alot of which are shaman) and i figured that if we had myself healing combined with a shaman that even without the healing talents our group would still be fine. I would really like the opinion of Tivoli or Envie on this one though, but anyone else who has any clue about this issue please feel free to give me some advice =).

Soloing, duoing --> Shadow. But if you wanna do instances, hard pvp --> go heal. There's been posted about like 100 of these subjects and this is about the answer. I'm a priest and would take a shaman/mage/druid over a shadow specced priest anytime. Shadow priest rock with the warrior combo when duoing, and that's about it.

well i will be doing alot of soloing and duoing, and i am in a rather large guild that is made up of alot of shaman, one of which i know is going heavy in the restoration line. I figured that on large scale raids and pvp raids, the times i wouldnt be duoing/soloing, that my healing along with the large amount of shaman guildmates i had, would be acceptable.

Why do you want to be second par to a shaman?

Go shadow till right near 20 (or so) and then spec disc/holy if you so feel like it.

Me? I have a group to be with (which includes Klay) and so they expect me to be specced disc/holy, which I will be. *shrugs* I can't say anything beyond going disc/holy... but we've said it many times, so if you don't wanna hear it... it is up to you.

I gave my words on a shadow priest in PvP and such, and Envie agreed, so take that to heart when you read it.

Thank you that link really helps, Im glad to have someone respond to a question with a more suitable answer instead of, "Well no groups for you" or "Holy/Disc is better" this clarifies what i wanted to know and i appreciate it.
