I've read many places that the rogue isn't a class thats wanted in groups or high end raids. The problem seems to be with their high dps and leather armor. They can deal massive melee damage from specials but their leather armor doesn't allow them to take hits.

Rogues seem to be the PvP machine of WoW, Capable of taking out cloth wearers in no time at all. However, if thats ALL they're wanted for at later levels, I can't see much incentive to play them.

I, like everyone else, want to experiance the end game raids. If i'm not wanted on those raids however because of my class, that takes away a lot of the fun from the class. I don't JUST want to be a PvP bot.

So my question is this, "Are rogues really as unwanted as everyone says they are, and, if they are, does that take anything away from the class?"

I'm sure there will be plenty of room for a rogue in all end-game content. The trick will be to act like a caster, not to over nuke (hit) and get the agro from the tankers. Timing hits and feints, building combo points, having a good tanker, and knowing when to back off will be key to keeping your rogue alive and healthy.

As far as my knowlegde stretches on pve matters *cough* i think the rogue is an excellent dmg dealer in pve because if he gets aggro; he can just lose it with feint..... That means he can do alot more dmg than the warrior and he can scout places safely, complete quests for groups which don't want to kill the whole dungeon to get to an object, he can pull; he can keep stuff out of combat and during combat make stuff just stand there and take the heat.
