Are you dropping stam enchants on the legs/boots in favor of core armour kits?

is it worth giving up extra stam to try to get back to 400+ defense?

All i know is i went from like 400+ defense to 370ish and i died 2 times tanking magmadar (tho i think this was due to lazy healers + me being half drunk)

Just trash them (vendor), then ticket a GM and say it was accident. He'll give them back, and they'll be unsoulbound. (only works for epics)

There are probably a half dozen GMs reading this website, lol ;)

Using core armor kits before the nerf was idiotic somewhat and using them now is just unforgivably stupid.

Only spot I can even remotely see the sense of them being used was gloves and still then +7 agility > that for tanking.

Main changes I made were adding anticipation (at least until I aquire ZG warrior librams) and last stand to my prot spec build. Any time I get a crit from now on and am not instantly topped off by well timed big heals, I'll pop last stand to give healers working room in case of a second consecutive crit. Timer allowing of course.

Between last stand, shield wall, healthstones, and healing/protection pots there are a few options for handling the "oh shit" moments that the def nerf will make more common.

I used core armor kits before the nerf and it worked for me. I agree they're pretty pitiful now, but I'm not in any hurry to replace them. I was in the school of thought that after a certain point (~5k unbuffed) there is such a thing as "enough stamina", assuming the tradeoffs are other tanking related stats (armor, dodge/parry, +defense, applicable resistances). Of course, that line of thinking rings truer when you're immune to crits... catch 22.

I have a couple "of defense" greens in my bags - trying not to use them but it's tempting. If you haven't bothered making core armor kits up to now, check how putting an "of defense" item in one slot and using stamina/health enchants alters your overall stats compared to leaving your blue/purple there and wearing armor kits. I would gamble that for many people the green wins out... sad really.

Our tanks are dropping prot spec in favor of arms now. Not seeing any problems with healing yet. I doubt it is such a big deal really. Skill > gear.
