Hiya,

I'm a new rogue and don't have a lot of pvp exp, but I feel I need some tips. My main is lvl 27, which means I obviously don't have a lot of money or experience. A couple nights ago, I got asked to duel a 30th lvl Druid. I lost every duel. He decided to change to cat form. I lost all but 1 dual. This tells me I'm doing something very wrong or not doing something I should be. Currently to give you an idea for my talents;

2/2 SS
5/5 Camo
5/5 Opportunity
3/3 Imp Ambush
3/3 Imp Evisc

Any tips would be greatly appreciated. I am on a PvP server and would like to improve.

losing vs a level 30 isn't that bad. If he has gone full feral he has key talents you don't have yet. And someone that's 3 levels above you, will resist attacks, crits, etc.. also the 3 levels matter a lot in the equip difference, and maybe he has just so much better gear than you.. we can't tell what's exactly the problem. practise makes perfect and if it doesn't, upgrade some stuff, but might as well wait till level 60 to pvp..
and maybe you'd want to retry on a level 27 druid, that doesn't have Claw
Rank 2, Entangling Roots Rank 3, Moonfire Rank 5, Rejuvenation Rank 5, Rip Rank 2, Mark of the Wild Rank 4, Regrowth Rank 4, Shred Rank 2, Wrath Rank 5 and Faerie Fire Rank 2.
I think it makes a difference, most of those skills are major upgrades received at level 28 and 30, which he will have, while you still miss things like Backstab Rank 4, Instant Poison II Rank 2, Kidney shot and Sinister Strike Rank 5.
Not to mention the key talents you don't have yet..
So; don't feel bad, I would probably win, but you're right, it's about experience.
I'm not going to give talent advice, there's a long thread stickied about rogue talents that you should read completely to get a good grasp to which talents are good and which are not for your playstyle, that only you can figure out.
A rogue is actually a very complete class, apart from some talent bugs, which doesn't need 1 sure-win talent template.
You can at least choose between 3 of them -.-

Good luck in future duels

p.s tbh your talent build is as perfect as it can be imo at your level, wouldn't change a thing and i took the exact same talents at ur level.
It can be a pain in pve, unless you have a good timing already. Most rogues complain about pve like that, but if u wanna be a combat rogue with 2 swords you might as well roll a warrior.
And if u ever need to kill a high level melee mob, just use crippling poison and ambush him, gouge backstab, run away, gouge backstab, run, evisc, gouge backstab, will go down without losing much health, and u can modify this to lose almost no health beyond the initiation, and if u don't evisc.. well.. try to think of some instance bosses you can solo like this, for good stuff =) verdan the everliving should be possible like this, solo.
