This is an in game DKP tracking system with a decent amount of flexibility for whatever system you want to use (o balance, bidding, flat values, rolling).

Typing /ndkp will bring up the DKP window shown above, from there you can right click on the NDKP tab to bring up the options, you will want to have Use Local Data checked so that the Raid Functions menu will show.

In the Name and Class boxes you can type a partial name and it will add to the display everyone that matches that search string (e.g. bob will display bob and bobby). If you left click on someone it will remove them from the display (this does NOT remove them from your database), right clicking on someone will bring up their options, you can right click on their tab and delete them from the database, or add a raid count to that person. Typing a number in the box and then hitting the + or - will either add or subtract DKP from that player. If you have Zero Balance checked and that person is in your raid group it will subract that amount and automatically add (amount/raidmembers) DKP to everyone in the raid. Otherwise if you have Zero Balance unchecked it will just subtract DKP from that person and you will see an option to Add Raid DKP, click on Add Raid DKP and type a number in the box and clicking Add DKP will add that amount of DKP to everyone in your raid.

To ease keeping track of who wants an item there are a few /whisper commands;

!bid, will add someone to your display if they aren't already, useful for when the raid leader links an item that people want, clear your display (right click the NDKP tab and select Clear List) then have everyoen that wants that item to send a tell with !bid, your list will populate with all their information. Optional, if you want to do a bidding system they can send a tell with !bid # and it will populate your list with their info and the amount they bid. You can click on Clear Bids in the NDKP menu afterwards to clear the current bids.

!dkp, will send a tell to that person with their current DKP.

Clicking Add Attendance under the Raid Functions menu will add 1 raid count to your total raids, and add 1 raid count to everyone in your current raid. Also if someone in your current raid does not exist in your database it will add that person. It will also update everyones attendance after adding the count. Right clicking on a name and opening the player menu you can manually add a raid to that person.

/roll, if someone is in your DKP database and they /roll 1-100 their name will populate in your list and show their roll, if they roll again it will not overwrite that value, only thier first roll counts, after all the rolling you can open the NDKP menu and select clear rolls to reset.

Clicking on the column headers will sort by that column, clicking on it again reverses the order.

We are near release of our web DKP system which this AddOn will tie into so you can view your DKP in game that is listed on your guilds site. But for guilds/groups that don't have a site, or don't know where to start for DKP the in game tracking should be very useful.

List bugs and questions in this post.

(Player Raids / Total Raids) * 100.

So if you have been on 1 raid, and there have been 2 raids your attendance is 50% of the total raids.

my observations and suggestions after playing around with the addon for a few minutes:

1. left-click should select a player. right-click should remove them from the current list.

2. seperate the option to add 1 to the raid counter, and the option to populate the list with the current raid.

3. confirmation when removing someone from the database.

4. (edit: nevermind, this works) didn't appear that /whisper <personWithAddon> !dkp was working.

5. add option to subtract selected player's current bid from their DKP.

6. re-do the options menu.. pop-up menus tend to glitch and give a zone list for some odd reason. there's nothing wrong with buttons and checkboxes. :)

7. add option to completely clear stored information (including total # of raids) .. should have a double confirmation, or something similar to deleting a character.

8. clicking the Name or Class buttons with nothing in their textboxes should show all players in the database. makes sense if you look at it as filtering the list by the contents of the textbox. no text = no filter

9. there's an error if you right-click the player list when the list is empty. something about 'gfind'

10. show individual players' raid attendance with numbers *and* percentage.

11. how do we use Nurfed_DKPPlayers.lua ?

12. a monitoring mode that automatically adds players who join the raid group ("Soandso has joined the raid group.") to the database, optionally with a DKP value. (note: would need some way to safeguard against people who join the same raid group repeatedly from receiving extra DKP)

other than that, i have one question.. does the DKP value of an item appear different for each player? i'm not too clear on how it works, thought i read something about it being based on the increase in stats for that character. if this is how it works, how would the DKP manager know what an item is worth to a specific player?

can't wait to see the next release of this.. my guild is just starting to do MC regularly, and we haven't fully established a DKP system yet. this would help a LOT in managing it, especially once you release the website script. :)

It's nice already, although still beta, and I can see it becoming very useful once "We are near release of our web DKP system which this AddOn will tie into so you can view your DKP in game that is listed on your guilds site." is done.

Small list of bugs:
I can't seem to add players to the list by using the Name box. Only works when I use Class.

Rightclicking at an empty space in the box results in this (http://img357.imageshack.us/img357/5196/ndkperror5sj.jpg) error.

Confirmation boxes for deleting players from the database would be nice.

Selecting an individual player makes his "Add DKP" box pop up. If I use "Add Raid DKP" from the dropdown menu after this, the two Add-boxes overlap each other.

That's it for now.. Keep up the work, you're the best :o

Few questions..

1. Is the ability to sync the database with other players planned? For security reasons, in case someone's lua file blows up. Can you just send someone the lua file to get them current?

2. An import function to get Player names and current DKP (at least) from EQDKP into NDKP would be handy.

3. Web interface stats, will it be complex? Like Attendance Last 30 days, raid attendance by class, etc. Or will it basically noly show the columns seen in the mod? My guild uses statistics such as these for various administrative purposes from our EQDKP site, the more information/stats available, the better

Going to test this tonight.. Been testing ScenRaid as well, seems similar but ScenRaid seems more robust, with the side effect of being complicated to use.

I have a version that updates with EQDKP, but it's not public yet. I thought about doing the sync thing, but i don't want people adding their own DKP without earning or subtracting from other people, you can send the Nurfed_DKP file to someone and they will have your values.

Due to the patch i haven't had much time to work on this mod, but when things settle down a bit i will have a new version up, i already have a lot of changes in my test version now.

Other people are always quicker. Me working on a DKP addon, and now Tivoli comes with this :)

Anyway, mine can export and import data to/from EQdkp, is made for our own DKP system first (bidding, DKP on boss kills), can synchronize between guild members in game, has some extra features for tracking raid attendants, will try to detect item bids and boss kills automatically.

Some screenshots so you can see what it's about. Hope to have a beta version ready this weekend.

some thoughts:

1) auto-hiding window. mousing over it or receiving a !bid would make it appear. I like my screen space, so I usually end up closing it, and typing /ndkp everytime I want to check it again is a hassle.

2) either make the list auto-clear when searching by class, or make a toggle for it (autoclear on class y/n, autoclear on name y/n)

3) adjustable opacity

4) BIGASS 'CLEAR' BUTTON right on the window, without having to navigate menus.

5) option to toggle dkp on tooltips. once you add in the eqdkp exporter, I think a lot of guilds will want to use the dkp tool, but not switch to the entire nurfed dkp system. for those that don't, the dkp on tooltips aren't needed.

BUG 09/18/05 - can't type in name/class fields. confliction with Sea.

Hello everyone.
I have a question. Is there a possiblity to tell me how i can make the addon to higher the values with x10? So the value of an item aint 4 but 40. And so it works that all items will have that change.

Thnx in regards. Robobeat.

While playing with the demo site, I kept recieving this error each time I tried to add a player.

WARNING: Some parts of the form where left empty. Please recheck your entry before continuing.

There are only 2 fields to fill out, each had correct values. If I clicked submit again, the player would seem to process okay. After that i'm able to charge that player loot from raids and so forth, yet he does not appear on the main dkp page nor under his class specific section.

I did read in your post that this warning was to be expected, but it's obvious people have been able to make their players appear on main. I'm sure i'm just missing something simple, suggestions?

He needs to have attendance, if someone has 0% attendence, they don't appear on the list.

Just a small suggestion, can't you make an option to display DKP worth for all classes?

As a raid leader during drops it might be damn handy to quickly note the worth of it for the class it's ment for.

Tivoli
10-14-2005, 09:03 AM
Well, we did have that at one point, but then your raid members that look at the items ask why it's worth this amount for someone, and why can't they pay their class cost, etc. So from a headache standpoint, one price shown is the best option, trust me ;).

Jaguar645
10-14-2005, 11:25 AM
hehe :P can understand that then ^^

Then how did you determine worth ingame? or is that something being deducted automatically when you enter all the info ingame into ndkp ?

[edit] better phrase this more properly :P

say nemesis drops, as a priest/mage/lock you know what the worth is, but a rogue sees a different value.

the leader at that point is a rogue and sees his value, but that isn't the correct value, how does he find the right item worth? i gues he could ask but that seems a little complex all the time :)

Tivoli

The NDKP addon does all the calculations and only shows you the highest valued one, so it doesn't matter what class looks at the item, it will show the same cost as listed on the website.

ok cleared that up thx ^^ must've been mest up with an earlier version doing that then or something else (*bad boy stay off of that "water"* ;p)

Now i'm back to my normal ritual to inform my guild members and sway them over to the better system ^^

When I have NDKP installed I can't use the ctrl-click viewing room option. I was wondering if this is a bug, and if it is will it be fixed in the next update?

Fixed in your unreleased version, or the public version? I uninstalled my version, downloaded the version from http://www.nurfed.com/Nurfed_DKP.zip and I still cant use the viewing room.
