So i was looking for some inspiration how to skill my rouge and tryed to look up some pvp movies and found some sick shit from this guy shurrik

in his first movie he was dualwielding felstrikers

Uhhh....

The first vid was pretty awful. Ganking people off their mount for 80% of the vid, using just about every cooldown every fight (nothing really wrong with this, but meh), and absolutely abusing Engineering. I turned it off when he was fighting that holy priest about 75% of the way through the vid. Blowing prep, major heal pot, all his cooldowns, mis-timing almost every gouge / stun / kick to interrupt heals, bandaging and nearly loosing is pretty bad :(

i thought that too ,but too mutch flaming hijacked the topic no constructive advice at all but its a fact that backstab ambush rouges outdamage combat specced rouges or am i wrong?just my experience

In my experience ambush/backstab rogues have a lot of front end damage, that is very effective in a quick kill. Where as a combat rogue build is more effective over time at having longer sustainable dps.

In duels, a backstab rogue usually is better than a combat rogue.

I haven't done a lot of full scale pvp, but I believe, like with any other class, each build has a certain utility.

In PvP Burst Damage is usually > sustained damage.

In PvE sword rogues usually outdamage dagger rogues in my experience, because they have a steady flow of damage, are independent on positioning and don't draw aggro as easily as dagger rogues.

if you are looking for high sustained damage/dps, try seal fate + dagger spec + backstab mashing. it outdamages the combatspecced rogues too.

ofc you have pretty low chances in 1v1 pvp with this specc, but if you like to play alterac valley in a ts/vent raid grp, then you just have to say, that you are a frontliner rogue, and wanna provide the dps for killing lieutenants or smth, rather than backstabbing your opponents by turning their graveyards with a stealther grp.

edit: but regardless of your build, if you turn on the Mad Max 2 Road Warrior OST or any song from Prodigy in Molten Core, you will feel a drastical increase in your dps :>

The lame thing about that movie is that he only attacks when he's got no cooldowns. And that is just lame. But sure, he is a good rogue, had some badbeats against him in the past :|.

just posted because i play in the same raidunion as Guldar and both Guldar and Shurrik play on the german server gorgonnash
cant say how good he really is cause i have never seen any other rogue movies to compare with
i basically just know they can stun and i overpower them a lot =)

edit: just watched it again. it is not really showing skill. more ganking and killing =). but guldar is a fine guy so show him some appreciation. ill be happy to tell him about it =)
