View Full Version : Is Priest a good choice for someone with not a lot of time?

I'm thinking of being a priest during retail, but I'm concerned that it will take me a long time to level because I don't have much time to play. I know they aren't good for soloing, but everyone always wants a priest in their group. It seems that the game can be solo'd for the first 10-15 levels no problem and that people don't need help until they get to some Elite monsters and Instances.

I played a Hunter in beta and because I didn't have much time I didn't group as much as I would have liked. It takes too long to get a group going when you don't have a regular group to play with.

Does this make it sound like a Priest wouldn't be the right class for me?

(First post here. Kintoun posts on another board that I frequent. I'm still trying to get the guild we are making there to go Horde on PvP Central. I'll probably go horde anyway.)

A priest will get more groups than a hunter, so if you have less time and want to see instances and such, then choose a priest, but in the end it really doesn't matter, eventually everyone will get 60, so play what you like best.

I know this post will get even fewer responses seeing as how the game goes live in like 1 hour :D but how hard is it really for a priest to solo?

And in battle will I be healing pretty much the majority of the time? Is it possible to make more of a buff/debuff priest or is this a Paladin?

Well today is retail but if you still want info on priest then here is what I think: I got mine to level 18 and I found it very easy to solo mobs even higher than me. End of story.
