You have to be able to read and follow directions.

apparently not, as there is a sticky post that details the process of applying and getting accepted to nurfed.

No need to be mean to the guy, he was just asking if it was tough to get in. Frosty, hope this helps: Nurfed is an invite only guild and as such the only way that you would get in is if someone that is in guild already invites you. There is a sticky up there somewhere.
I think its their way of making sure you're not just a blockhead that doesn't know what you're doing when it comes to grouping and pvp. Which is good in that it makes it an accomplishment to get in. Anyways, good luck, I know that I will be trying to get in or even just even fight alongside Nurfed come retail.

LOL, lets put it this way....
Some family and friends aren't even allowed in.
Hope that answers your question.

My fiance isn't even in the guild ;).
It is very tough to get into Nurfed, but at the same time because of that we rarely have guild problems, and a VERY low turnover on members, most everyone is in the guild a very long time. Most of the time it's a few months of playing with us before an invite is extended, it may be frustrating, but at the same time i feel that's the reason behind our success.

Heh. Thats pretty good though that its like that because you wouldn't want any bad players ruining things. Sounds like a good guild and very interested in it .

Basically, you kiss their asses untill they roll over.
Seriously...I prfer the method of playing, and play with whoever you meet, and keep playing only with those you feel like playing with O_o Not aiming for a specific group and conform yourself to their taste. But I guess if you want to farm instances and get good gear a big guild is necessary so whatever o_O

1: I know these guys in RL
2: As stated in another post, I don't plan on playing anytime soon!
priceless....
The fact is, they have done more to help this game along than easily 80% of the supposed 'beta testers'. Hell, I bet you play with the Nurfed UI come retail, if you don't already in OB.

During open beta I only saw two Nurfed members and they were in Silverpine forest. I can't imagine how hard it's going to be for me to join.

I'm gonna assume that most Nurfed can level pretty fast, even with pvping. My question is, if I'm a 15-16 shaman and you guys are 20somethings, how will I get noticed? I know how annoying it is to be playing a game and get 'Renton whispers: Hey, where are you guys I'm ready to show off my ub3r l33t skills... crap hold on I just died.'

Ok, honestly, the best way to get noticed is -not- to send a lot of tells to people when they're already grouped and busy. The best way is to play, play hard, and be competitive and active wherever the action is. If you're often in places where people congregate to PvP (ie Hillsbrad in Beta) chances are someone's going to start recognizing you.
When everyone hits 60, that's when the 'community' thing starts to happen. Other guilds start to show up and shine in the ranks and certain players become notorious and well known as skilled players. Stabface, Zaknafien, Engel and Montel, Nerd, Spork, Ilsensine... all names that you know and hear quite often and they didn't have to tag along behind Nurfed ever to get their own recognition and reputation in the community. A lot of those guys have their own great guilds and do very well in them.
Bottom line here... if you're soloing and struggling to get noticed, it probably isn't going to happen. Be social, use your game skill to get ahead of the crowd and get noticed by being in a LOT of groups and knowing how to PvP and win.
Being in Nurfed isn't what makes you a good player. Lots of great players out there not following Nurfed.

I didn't kiss anyone's ass. I did my own thing, I openly disagreed with people and argued the first time I got in ventrilo (about politics of all things) and I never went out of my way to kiss up or show any special deference to anyone, guild master or member.
I suspect that many people who think they want to be in team oriented guilds wouldn't want the obligation that this entails. Most people aren't accustomed to guild-first behaviour.
Good for you if you know what you don't like ahead of time. Saves everyone a lot of hassle.

...dude, err...i cant find the right words, but stop trolling?
i know what invite only guilds are all about. and 2 types of new ppl get in: ass kissers, or ppl who dont really care orignally but happens to play with them alot and end up being friends and w/e. and as dumb as it might be, i assume the original poster is the 1st type =\ and probably u too. plz stop being in denial and attempt to flame me, i think we all have better things to do.
all in all, the central servers will be hot, no doubt about that.

I veto kissasses, so there's #1 down the toilet.

Lets get off all the flaming, dont' want this turning into some B.Net forum, keep on topic.
ohh Arawyn or is it Arawn.. what book is that from.. I read them as a kid even before Tolkien, but I forgot what they are called.. chronicles of prydain or something wow
Anyways to be on topic. If you have to ask if you can join then that should tell you something :p It's really anoying to have clearly stated over and over what your policy is on recruits, have people read that policy, and yet still post asking anyway ;)
