first of all, hi there!
it seems to me that this board contains some high experienced players, so i try to ask my question here.
first: arms tree, sword specialisation. is the extra attack able to crit like a normal attack or is it just an "instant normal damage attack?
if it can crit it seems that the specialisation is damn fine compared to the others. someone has experience with it?
second: i tried about 30 mins to make a macro which includes item switching. i typed /equip <item name> but that doesnt worked.
any ideas?
thanks for your answers

The problem is, the extra attack has a chance to miss which with the current patch seems much greater than the chance to crit. So it boils down to:
-Axe spec-
5% chance to crit (chance to double your dmg guaranteed)
-Sword Spec-
5% chance to hit once more (chance to add an extra attack which may hit for less than your current, may miss, or may crit)
With the last patch, the miss rate is so high that any guarantee of double damage in my book is far superior to the possibility of an extra attack. The only way this would be better than the axe spec is if they changed the unbridled wrath talent to be 'gives you a 40% chance to generate an additional rage point per attack.' Otherwise, you can still gain two extra rage points from a crit via the talent just like you would generate 1 rage from the first attack and one from the added sword spec attack.

You'll have to check the Interface Customization (http://forums.worldofwarcraft.com/board.aspx?fn=wow-interface-customization) boards when the servers go back up but here are the basic commands you're looking for:
/script PickupContainerItem(2,1);
/script AutoEquipCursorItem();
This will equip the item in your 3rd bag's top left slot to your body, however it should be noted that complex macros are not possible due to the text limit imposed on the client by blizzard.

None of the weapon talents are worth spending 5 points on in my opinion.
The main reason is you are limiting your selection of weapons you can use, because why use any other weapon than the type you have the talent for. In the long run you are better of being able to use any weapon.
The other reason is because quite frankly the weapon talents arent that great. Most high level maces have a stun proc on them already and I found the proc on the weapon went off much more frequently than the mace talent stun did. The sword talent is probably the worst. The axe and polearm talents are worth investing in if you really want to pick a specialization but the typical arms build is much better off with those 5 points elsewhere.
As for equip macros you can simply drag your shield onto a hotbar slot to equip it any time you want. If you want a true macro to switch to shield, shield bash, then switch back to your 2-hander you would need to use a custom UI.

The weapon talents are nice, so if you have the gold, respec and "specialize" in the weapon of your choice.
Of course you would want to wait till you acquire a weapon which you know for certain that you will be using for quite some time.
