ok i have a asus a7n8x-x it says it has 6 channel audio, i have a surrond sound system but can i hook it up to the motherboard? do do i have to go out and by a good soundcard. and if u can hook it up to the motherboard how do i get it working there is only 3 spots and ones for a mic. Just go out and buy a sound card?

Ok, the first question should be what type of surround sound system do you have, and more importantly, what type of connectors do you have with it? Mostly likey, they will not have the correct type of connectors for what your computer output is simply because they were proably made for TVs (I'm guessing at this point). If I'm right to this point, I have two suggestions:

1. Go out and find the thousand different types of adapters you would need

2. Get a cheap set of computer speakers (ex. this (http://www.newegg.com/app/viewproductdesc.asp?description=36-121-115&DEPA=0). They might be low cost, but Logitec speakers have always been my suggestion becuase of great sound and performance.)
