View Full Version : Is First Aid viable in PvP?

This is something that I've been wondering about as I've been having mixed results with the channeling of the first aid effects. On my Hunter who was level 21 and I had 125 first aid I could slap on my bandages and run around while they still healed me. Yet when I was on my low level shaman who only had 20 First aid I had to stand still. is this just a skill thing or was something bugging/me imaging things?

Sure is, good players use it religiously. I'll throw a hanstring and run really far then pop it. Or sometimes hit Intimidating Shout and hit a band aid real fast. I live for first aid.

I agree. First Aid is key. When playing my mage, if I was getting beat on pretty badly, i'd poly and slap on a bandage. Works wonders when you have mageweave bandages as well. Have yet to try for shamans. I suppose Tauren have stomp but thats too little time for bandage and plus shamans have lesser healing wave so it might not really be an issue to have first aid. Good back up to healing though if mana runs out.

Everyone, even healers can benefit from band-aids in PvP!

A must have free skill for your character survival bag.

My intentions are to be a Troll Shaman with Alchemy/Herbalism. So I'll have Potions, Lesser Healing wave with Natures swiftness, and First Aid. I can Frost Shock and Ghost wolf to get away and slap on that bandage and chug potions and insta heal myself. As well as have troll berzerking.

My main interest though was if you could move or not while bandaging as I am still unsure about this.

When you use a band aid on yourself then it is an instant cast heal over time spell that deactivates the second u take or deal dmg

When you bandage someone else it is a channelling spell

Ahh, perfect. That's absolutely wonderful. What a great thing to use while running the hell away. Wish I had known that earlier. Would have used that in conjunction with wing clip a lot more on my hunter.

Yes, First Aid is godly. Only the very first bandaid (Linen), and possibly a few after that, are "bugged' and they ALWAYS channel, even if it's on yourself.

Otherwise, it's really damn awesome.

Rogues can Gouge, bandage, then kidney shot to ensure their bandaid's HoT isn't broken, etc etc.

It also drastically helps in PvE, can grind nonstop with basically zero downtime.

So that's why it worked with the wool and not the linen.

Yes, bandaid healing is so much better than food. It's so fast. I don't know why more people don't use it. Many of the people I grouped with seem to all use food.
