Hello Everyone,

Currently I'm in a guild and allied with another, where everytime we do Onyxia and MC we just have enough people online when we do these raids. Currently there are more and more people trying to get in the raids and we may have the problem with 'too many' people at one time.

We are also in a position where we can beat onyxia and MC in about 8 hours or so, so thats just about 2 big raids days a week. As big as your guilds are, how do you deal with this and overcrowding of people wanting to get in? What criteria do you choose from overflow and etc? Since DKP can't be earned unless you join the raid, but if people get left out, then how do you guys deal with that expectation?

Thanks for taking the time to read.

My guild (http://forums.ministryofpain.org) raids with HordeAlliance (http://www.hordealliance.com) on Mannoroth, and anyone having to sit from one of our MC/Onxyia raids due to lack of space earns DKP (+3 to rolls) just like those who go on the raid. With several guilds contributing folks to each raid, and with many players being on the casual side our raid roster varies widely from week to week. Rewarding people who are forced to sit is one way we're trying to get folks to show up consistantly.

Anyone else have any other ideas? I would definitely appreciate a few ideas and options guilds have done before.

Thanks to all who read and take the time to respond.

first come first serve

and if someone is asked to sit out for a class that is needed more (say 12 mages and 5 priests, and mage will sit out for a priest), the person sitting out earns the DKP just like being on the raid, just cant actually get gear from that raid obviously

you may get to the point you have 60+ players and can do them w/ >30 players.... so 2 different instances

speaking of 30ish players. My guild has been attempting this and are having a large problem with Deep Breath.

I wasn't on the most recent attempt, but i think that the Onyxia requirements for using Deep Breath scales to the size of the raid.

Aka if you have a 40 man raid, the space between each player is lesser than if you have a 30 man raid.

Basically you need your entire raid to be spread evenly throughout her lair in order to not get deep breath.

But that is just speculation. Any pointers would be handy.
