I'm sorry, but RJ confirmed he was only in it for the money and now stalling when he wrote a whole book that took place in the last 20 pages of his PREVIOUS BOOK. Come on.

Hey I'm not defending RJ, Crossroads of Twilight made me cry. I skipped 2/3 of the book...
I'm just saying I don't dig it when people try to be different just for the sake of being different. I mean, come on, I like the books I don't need detailed sex intermissions every 50 pages to keep my interest.

Quotes are for the weak.
no, it's for the artists.. ever seen an entire 2nd page in a forum thread full of qoutes? it's a real piece of art...
Ever seen a full page without any quotes? Now that's art.

Im reading Stephen Erickson right now, good author. I used to like Terry Goodkind but his incessantly repetitive use of the same theme(s) finally made me dismiss him as one of my favorites in the genre. Jordan as mentioned previously is clearly just looking for cash and I refuse to give him any of mine. With his neverending subplots and general wanderings I have completely lost all touch/care for any of the main characters. He has successfuly dragged his own story into ruin.
Thats why I've been looking forward to Feast so much. The other authors are just failing to produce anything new or interesting.

yes its good to have it out. and the next one looks to be fast behind it, we hope.
if you like his books i HIGHLY reccomemend Stephen Erikson's Malazan series.
do an amazon search for malazan. his books are the best fantasy i've read.
all props to JRR for kicking off the genre, but Erikson has some great books.
