just out of curiosity, for those of you with high end systems, whats the maximum framerate you have been able to achieve in WoW

im asking this because, my friend is an EQ2 player and he claims that on his higher end machine, WoW at maximum graphical settings runs at the same framerate (about 33 FPS) as EQ2 does at middle-of-the-road graphical settings

this seems odd, because as anyone knows, EQ2's graphical system is much more hardware-intensive than WoW's (notice i didn't say it's better...) since it incorporates a higher polygon count and other, more hardware intensive features.

is 33 FPS or so the max framerate in WoW, or is this just an anomoly? or is there a memory leak or something causing the graphics to slow down?

max ive gotten is 89.5 (that was looking straight at the ground zoomed in)

general i range from 60-80 depending on where im at in game. never drop below 55 though

edit: system specs might help ya judge right??

Im running a AMD64 3500+ (130 nm core)
1 gig of PC3500 OCZ enchanced bandwidth memory at tight timings
with an ATI (retail) x800pro vivo -> modded to XT clocks

i could probably break 90+ FPS if i wanted but that might heat my vid card up past the normal 65 C mark =-p
