I have been testing builds lately and while i was fury specced a low guildmate asked me to help out in shadowfang keep.

So bloodthirst does not go off of mobs that do not give you XP.
Well, does it go off of grey players? Not that i greygank alot (*whistles*)
but oh how often have i been attacked by a 5 man group of 45+'s.

Now if Bloodthirst won't go off there that makes MS even more superior.

go out and try it, not too hard finding a grey.

It does not go off on grey NPCs. However at the level I respecced to arms/fury (40) There weren't many grey alliance running around to see if the same applied for PvP. But i doubt it does.

It goes of grey PCs.

The limits apply to 'enemies that grant experience', thus meaning mobs. In PC, it will always go off anyway ofcourse ;)

Good.

I had my 1st "Bloodthirst is up while attacking a same level cloth wearer" yesterday. 1 shoted him. Praise me.

While i was one of this MS bitches for most of the time, i will sure as hell be fury specc'd for grinding.

I am thinking of switching to a 2h Fury build to grind out my last 5 levels. I will be running instances too, but during the week I just do not have the time to do an instance usually, so I just grind or pvp. While Fury might set me back a little pvp wise, but at least I wouldn;t have to worry about fear as much. Gettin tired of getting myself with my pants caught down, usually aginst warriors with intimidating shout, lol.

For grinding you will absolutely LOVE bloodthirst, especially with good equip. For a pvp situation i really do not have that much of trouble, considering i tend to grind on greens and the most players around there are greens for me too.

Also, flurry and enrage makes you win some fights even when fury specced. I just really stand NO chance versus mages no more, missing my instant 980+ MS too much. Not that i was very good vs. mages before repeccing but now i am just a joke to them :)

Do you fare better against priests in open pvp, considering you can have 46 seconds of immunity to fear? Death Wish is usuable in all stances isn;t it, or just Beserker Stance. Usable in all stances would help keep those darn warriors from popping that intimidating shout on me and I can then turn it on them. How much more damage do you actually take with 20% less armor, it seems like it would be less than 20% more damage and would not be affected by spells at all. The description says it lowers your resistances 20%, but who has high enough resistances for it to matter anyways.

ehhh the heling nerf from MS > Death wish vs Priests.

And Death whis is Zerker stance only

That stinks, would have made it much Fury much more flexible if you could use it in all stances. Still sounds great for grinding though.

Death Wish is any stance. 100% certain

If its any stance, that is cool. You could go defensive with the -10% damage bonus taken, and still put out +10% damage. You would take more damage from -20% armor, but that pales when compared to +20% damage. At least that is what Thotbot says, vault say 20% extra damage taken from all types, but in defensive, it would not be too bad, as it would even out to +10% to damage, and -10% damage taken. If its in zerker stance only though, 30% more damage taken is a ton, and would ahrdly make death wish worth it. I will look at the actual skill when i get home from work today.

Do not forget: -20% Armor doesnt mean shit vs priests and mages. Not like their damage is scaled by armor anyway :(

So I went and did it. Respecced fury for grinding. I figure I am getting pretty much a full fury spec with tweaking for now, while with arms, I had to wait til 60 to finally get full Enrage. I do plan on switching backs to Arms/Fury at 60, but I am having fun with this for now. I even use DW and it really works. Most pve fights go pretty quickly now, as enrage makes a huge difference. I even find myself using HS. I am glad I picked up Improv HS. With the 2H, I will use it in between WW attacks. With DW, I am gaining rageg so fast, that I am literally spamming HS a ton in a fight. After a 2H bloodthirst attack, especially if it crits, I find myself with a ton of rage and spamming the heck out of HS. My main weapon base dmg goes from 140-150 to about 235-245 for about 5 attacks in row, many times flurried, enrage, or both. Even with the higher miss rate, it hurts less and I do not find myself sitting there waiting another 4 seconds to get rage.

This is definitely working for pure grinding. Worked pretty well on a 55 rogue that jumped me at 80% HPs. He stun-locked me and I was inbetween 30%-40% health by the time I finally came out of it. My armor is crap right now, so I do not mitigate much, and I did not switch to shield, so I was hurting. Well, a couple of enraged overpower crits later with my Executioner's cleaver, and he was in execute range. I pulled execute just as he killed me and we died at the same time. WE both died, bu the thing that sucks about it is I did not get an HK for his death. :(

Enrage and bloodthirst seems to be the key though for how well this build is working when using a 2H weapon, and Flurry and HS when using DW. I need to go back to sorrow hill thoguh to get a real comparison to how fast I can kill mobs compared to when I was Arms. The though of Enrage with arms build after experiencing it here is pretty exciting though. I will be racing to 60.
