Your videos, and the music

Hi

as much as enjoy watching those videos, i really love the music! Who is it that edits in the music? Great music imo, what else do you listen to?
the question is to anyone in charge of chooing the music :wink:

since the last videos i have been listening more to sevendust, ra and three days grace, cool stuff

I do all the video editing and final decision for songs and such, but i get suggestions from everyone in the guild, i usually make 2 or 3 drafts of a video with varying songs to see what goes best with the action during the video.

I agree with the thread starter, your vids are really nice, Nurfedwow4 was awesome, i realy enjoyed it.
The whole video, especially the ending was a great combination of music and ingame scenes, the comments do the rest to make it an awesome video.

Which tool is the best to capture ingame scenes ?

What do you use to capture the video?
Then what do you use to edit in the sound?

I have tried Fraps..it seems to make a ok video but have yet to find any editor that made it good quakity. Thanx for any advice! :D

We use fraps to capture the video and Divx to encode them, the main thing you have to do t0 make the fraps video encode to a higher quality is change the KBPS setting, i use 1500 for the final run, everone who sends video to me to be edited uses a setting of 2000. Also there is another setting for the speed of the compression, setting it to slow helps a lot with the quality and compression.

I´m trying use Fraps for record movies, but when i active the record button, my fps lowers to 15-20. In normal game i´ve around 70 fps in 1024x768. I´ve a 2800 xp amd with ati radeon 9800 pro and 1024 ram. What computer you have Tivoli? Because my computer would not have to be suffered for a in-game record program :(

Fraps drops your max frames to 30 when you record, so getting low 20s for frames is about where it should be. If it didn't drop your max frames that low the file size would be a lot bigger than they are now, and raw fraps video is already pretty big, i have a few 2 gig+ video files that haven't been compressed yet.

Somewhere along the line while you are editing you are introduciing interlacing in to the video which causes those lines you see in areas. The video is also pretty blocky could use a higher bitrate or a lower resolution to clear it up a bit.
