Best PvP class

hey all. what is the best pvp class for 1v1? what is the best pvp class for pvp raids? what is the best pvp class in general? what is the best class for playing a very important role on raids and still owning it at pvp?

i used to raid as a warrior on eq and i liked it a lot because you are more or less the center of attention. the only thing that sucked was that warriors on eq sucked at pvp :(

i want to be useful on raids and still be very good at pvp.

what class do you think i should make, (besides a healer, healing as your only reason for existence is boring)
