I was wondering if any Nurfed members have rolled a shadow priest. I saw tng posting about his and would love to see his build, or any other nurfed members build if possible. Thanks.

i dont get how with the limited amount of good talents the priest has you cant figure out which disc and shadow points to use for your playstyle.

No, it isnt hard to figure out, thanks. I know that nurfed has some of the best players on WoW and was simply wondering if any of them have any different builds from what I or others have chose.

Just wait until Envie gets a hold of you. She's going to tear you a new one for wanting to be a shadow priest.

I was shadow while leveling, like almost every other priest, but currently I am disc/holy, and considering a tri-spec.

If I were to use shadow form, I would get:

Blackout 5/5
Spirit Tap 5/5/Shadow Focus/5/5 (depends on gear, most likely shadow focus)
Improved Shadow Word Pain 2/2
Improved Psychic Scream 2/2
Improved Mind Blast 2/5
Mind Flay 1/1
Shadow Reach 3/3
Silence 1/1
Shadow Weaving 5/5
Vampiric Embrace 1/1
Darkness 5/5
Shadowform 1/1

Unbreakable Will 5/5
Improved Power Word: Shield 3/3
Improved Power Word: Fortitude 2/2
Mental Agility 5/5
Mental Strength 4/5

If not,

Blackout 5/5
Spirit Tap 5/5/Shadow Focus/5/5 (depends on gear, most likely shadow focus)
Improved Shadow Word Pain 2/2
Improved Psychic Scream 2/2
Improved Mind Blast 2/5
Mind Flay 1/1
Shadow Reach 3/3
Silence 1/1
Shadow Weaving 5/5
Darkness 4/5

Unbreakable Will 5/5
Improved Power Word: Shield 3/3
Improved Power Word: Fortitude 2/2
Mental Agility 5/5
Mental Strength 5/5
Inner Focus 1/1

Do you think shadowform is worth it? or are the extra discipline points just better?

for solo pvp disc/shadow could be nice, for leveling sure shadow is the most important tree and shadow form is great for this process, for pvp its just,..blah

i really prefer disc/holy, i have friends,... ;P

"Do you think shadowform is worth it? or are the extra discipline points just better?"

Why don't you play the game and find out? Nurfed can't tell you what you can't figure out for yourself in game anyway. Shadow priest builds are relatively straight forward, and the questions you should be asking are clarification of what does what, and statistics, and then combine this with your gameplay experience to find a good build. If you have no game play experience, then build advice is kind of wasted on you anyway, unless you expect them to explain to you when to push which buttons too.

i think the problem is, that most people overestimate nurfed in this whole "one and only pvp build / class" thing.
it has alot to do with self reponsability i guess. so my advice also is, just do it, slip, fall, smash your face a dozen times, just stand up and try again doing better or search a new way (new build here)

if you have specific questions on specific talents, just ask, these are questions that can better be answered. the problem on whole build discussion is, that it depends on what or how you like to play.

but trying to answer your last question: shadowform is a great instrument for the whole solo level process. it works great together with vampire embrace (which is your only (cast-)chance to heal yourself during ve is active) and shortens your downtimes a lot.
in instances it is nearly nonsense if you are main healer which part you mostly will have to take as priest.
in solo pvp i didnt like shadowform. it could be nice against runner or to begin a fight with (some additional damage at the beginning) but never underestimate this little cooldown after every cast you have, it could make the difference between winning and losing, so i didnt use shadowform in pvp alot, except some testing.

if you have friends oder are guildmember and have the intention to pvp as a group a lot (which will be a good idea when the honour sys is implemented) you will learn to like the holy tree more and more.

for solo pvp i would make a disc/shadow build without any dmg-pushing talents and without shadow form. vampire embrace and silence could be great, dont need higher tier.

hope it helped a bit, hard for me to explain more details in english^^

Anyway after being rude I might as well give my experience: shadowpriest is fun for solo pking. I used shadowform a lot for this, as usually when you have the initiative, you don't take much damage :P. If I was out of shadowform, it was combined with running and renewing/shielding, and while fighting with shadowform, vamp embrace + shield was usually enough to win fights. The MAJOR problem with the build is mana, but other than that it's a great solo ganker class... as well as a potential top-of-the-line duelist alongside mages and shamen.

you didnt really use shadowform in duels a lot, did you?
against bad pvps it isnt a big deal, but against good pvps, doesnt matter which class, shadowform in duels isnt a good way, or have you experienced something else?

It depends on the class. Against healer classes, mana becomes an issue, and so going all out on shadow spells isn't always a good idea ... better to save mana for heals and try to outlast their mana, so that means no shadowform.

Shadowform is good when you think you can get a quick all-out kill, versus a mage or rogue or warrior for example. 15% physical reduction too, I found usually that I could squeek by on a rogue with shadowform + VE + plague DoT + pain and end up with the win. I never fought anyone with a bunch of epic gear though.

When I was shadow, I usually did not use it. If I could have, I would have dropped shadow form+shadow weaving, and used 5/5 darkness, but that's not an option.

I think if I were to spec to a shadow + disc build, I would probably go something like

Blackout 5/5
Improved Shadow Word Pain 2/2
Shadow Focus 5/5
Improved Psychic Scream 2/2
Improved Mind Blast 5/5
Mind Flay 1/1
Shadow Reach 3/3
Silence 1/1
Vampiric Embrace 1/1

Unbreakable Will 5/5
Improved Power Word: Shield 3/3
Improved Power Word: Fortitude 2/2
Mental Agility 5/5
Improved Inner Fire 3/3
Mental Strength 5/5
Improved Mana Burn 2/2
Inner Focus 1/1

You could switch Shadow Focus to Spirit Tap, and Inner Fire/Mana Burn to Meditation for regen as well. Every time you get a kill, if you have around 250~ Spirit(leaving you enough room to still have a higher int+sta count, or at least sta), you'll have 500 spirit + the in combat regen. Not sure how well that would work, but you could try it :q

In my experience fighting Shadow priests on my Warlock and Rogue, a good bit of my wins were helped by them being unable to heal in Shadowform.
