found nothing similar here on the forums, so I hope for some comments on this warlock topic.
Since I heard "Fear" is going to have increased mana cost in the actual version, I thought that it would be working out in some way and that there would be no major leaks in my style of play.
Before the patch, I utilized a full Destruction build with some talent points in Affliction ( e.g. Fel Concentration for clear draining and stuff ). Now. having played with my old build for a couple of days after the patch went live in Europe, I feel that "Fear" lacks more than ever the possibilty of being the main defensive spell of a Warlock.
Not only that every 2nd enemy has its shadow res up in some way or can become immune to fear through items and often usage, the cost for the spell is draining my manapool in an uncomparable way. After deciding not to whine and blame Blizzard for this nerf, I thought about using Curse of Exhaustion as my new main defensive spell ( and in some encounters even combined with fear to get the duration up ).
Can anyone here confirm my thoughts and maybe comment the actual build, I have added below ?
I feel that the Warlocks greatest weakness is his lack of instants with satisfying damage or defensive abilities when he's "fresh", so I took a nearly full affliction spec with focus on draining spells and CoE for more survivability and investing the last points into Destruction for Shadowburn and disturbance free casting of my AE Spells ( which I found quite useful both in PvP and PvM ).
