I'm gonna try and make a build that's not really done before... all you see are 30/21/0 or 31/20/0 or 21/8/22 or 30/8/13 etc...

this build has high dodge, high parry, high backstab crits + dmg (opportunity + imp backstab and lethality) coldblood, and it also has 10% extra crit bonus... also has riposte *shrug*

i am currently using a 21/8/22 build, it's fun, but meh... i've been dreamin about using a 10% crit build :)

Heres my issues: If your going to make a build that highlights Backstab's, and Backstab crits. You are insinuating that your going to be having the upper hand, and a stunned opponent, or a gouged opponent. Why would you need all of the improved defensive talents, when the whole key to your fight is to not get hit period?

I do like the improved daggers % to crit along with the general +% to crit talent. But when your talking Backstab, your % alone is already so high those extra few dont make much of a difference on backstab's.

I know your going for something different, and dont want to be cookie cutter, but it looks like your almost stuck inbetween a Ambush/BS crit rogue, and a SS spamming Riposte/combat Rogue. Your almost gimping yourself cuz now you dont have all the mass ambush/BS crits that those rogues have, but also you dont have massive damage main hand SS hits.

You might be better off going for a improved backstab high Combat high subtelty build, using something like cheap shot opener, Backstab, then use a weapon macro to switch in a hard hitting mainhander and spam SS's using a riposte macro. Then youd have preperation.

I dont think giving up alot of extra abilities is worth being able to have better backstabs in your case, you would be alot better off going straight combat. But then again what do i know, if you like it and it turns out well let us know!

You can use backstabs in a build that does not rely on a stunned oponent. Using mouselook with backstab bound to a mousekey, I backstab people that are engaged in combat with me all the time. Without collision, or very good facing checks, it is extremely easy.

The real issue is whether or not there is a better place to put the points for how he plays. I'm curious on the math of Seal Fate vs Dagger Specialization. I might consider sacrificing Dagger Spec and some of the other Combat Talents to get Seal Fate. I'm considering that same change to my current build actually.

If you spec this way, let us know how it works. I think it would do well with or without Seal Fate

IMO, this build is so close to the Hybrid Dagger build from the Rogue thread that you might as well just go with that.
